To the best of your knowledge, what is effective classroom management, and what does it have to do with planning, implementing, evaluating learning, and utilizing resources optimally? Explain the relationship of each of these points using your language. (2.5 points)

To the best of my knowledge, effective class management is a classroom that involves creating an organized positive, and productive environment for learning where all students can be focused, engage, and achieve their goal (aim) of coming to the classroom.

Like in the place where I learned programming I was able to focus and engage myself because of how well the classroom was well organized and runs smoothly without me and other students feeling uncomfortable.

Here is what effective classroom management has to do with planning, implementing, evaluating learning, and utilizing resources optimally.

  • Planning: Effective classroom management begins with serious planning. Planning includes defining and setting clear goals, and expectations, and designing lessons structure. When lecturers/teachers plan well, they also prepare themselves ahead of challenges and map out the best strategies to solve whatever challenges they anticipate, to minimize disruptions and keep the students engaged in learning.

  • Implementing: During teaching hours, classroom management plays an important role. Using well-planned strategies in real-time to keep students engaged and focused is what implements to be more effective. Lecturers and teachers can use different techniques to keep students engaged in the classroom.

  • Evaluating learning: Monitoring student's behavior, and assessing and understanding the students to know their progress is crucial for giving instructions and evaluating the progress of students. Getting regular feedback from students assists students in understanding and knowing what they are expected to do in the classroom.

  • Utility Resources Optimally: The best use of available resources whether intangible or physical resources such as technology, books, etc are needed for effective classroom management. Like in my case I was able to learn very well because there were available resources in the classroom which helped me to engage and stay focused on receiving quality lectures.


How do you go about creating a classroom atmosphere that supports the learning process? The explanation you give is based on personal experience that did. (2 points)

To go about creating a classroom atmosphere that supports the learning process we will need to begin with setting a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive tone in the classroom which was what I did as a service teacher. Based on my personal experience below are what I did.

  • I establish clear expectations and stay consistent: From the beginning of the day in the classroom, I set clear rules and expectations to help students know what is expected from them by me and another teacher. I created classroom rules in which I collaborated with the most brilliant students. I consistently hold on to my set rules which helps me to create a sense of understanding between me and students.

  • I build relationships with students and show them interest: I took time to learn about the interests strengths and challenges of each student in the classroom. As a teacher, I made an effort to remember every piece of information that my students shared with me and bring them bring them into the classroom to make them feel happy. My students feel more valuable and willing to learn and most time they wouldn't want me to leave the classroom.

  • I made learning more engaging and relevant: As a teacher then, I integrated hands-on activities, discussions, and real-world experience, (examples) to keep my students engaged. For example, during the time I was teaching about cashbooks and banks, I used real examples to engage them in the classroom and they were all happy about it.


According to your experience and observations, what factors can hinder effective classroom management? Explain why these things are a hindrance. (2.5)

According to my experience and observations, many factors can hinder effective classroom management based on my own experience below are the challenges and the reasons why they make managing a classroom to be hard.

  • Lack of Clear Expectations and Consistency: Like when I got to the school newly, I noticed that students were not sure about their rules within me I didn't enforce them so they wouldn't get confused. Also, I noticed that some of the staff's relationships with the students weren't clear and I consistently engaged myself with the students.

  • Inadequate Planning and Preparation: When a lesson plan is properly prepared by the teacher it affects the activities of the teacher which in turn affects the learning process of students because a lesson that lacks resources isn't well prepared and when the teacher enters centers to teach he or she would be confused.

  • Poor Rapport and Communication: In a classroom where there is a lack of connection between students and teachers, students do feel unmotivated and misunderstood to learn which I noticed in the school I served. It is good to build rapport as it can help students to feel respected and comfortable in the classroom. In the classroom, without good communication between students and teachers, there are likely going to be misunderstandings.


Effective classroom management has a relationship with the Learning Contract? What do you think about this, explain comprehensively according to your thoughts. (2 points)

I can say that classroom management has a very close relationship with a learning context both are good tools that are designed to promote accountability, support the learning environment, and set clear expectations.

Learning Contract I can say that this is an agreement between teacher and students that helps to outline responsibilities, create mutual expectations set learning goals and responsibilities. A learning contract sets the standards for learning and how a specific goal should be achieved.

  • Setting clear expectations : This is the core principle of classroom management to help students know how they should behave when they are in the classroom. It helps to reduce ambiguity and misunderstanding between teachers and students.

  • Promote Responsibility and Accountability: The learning contract helps to encourage students to take ownership of their learning just as we learned last week. Through assigning a learning contract student can commit to their role in creating a productive learning environment.

  • Encourage Goal setting and Self-reflection: Effective management also has to do with guiding students in self-assessment so they can be able to achieve their goals. It also involves measuring objectives that help students.
