Hello dear friends! Well come to my post. How are you all? I hope you will be doing well by the grace of Almighty. I'm also fine and enjoying my day. Today I'm here to participate in this Steemit engagement challenge season 19 week 6 in this Teachers & Students community. The topic of this challenge is about "Digital Applications In Learning". How do you see such technological developments affecting the future of education?

Yes, the technological developments affecting the future of education in both positive and negative ways because they come with pros and cons at the same time. But it is also a fact that, the technological developments making education easier for us because through the digital means of learning, the education becomes easily accessible for everyone regardless of their location, physical abilities and a special place to provide education.

All these things are happening due to online education which was introduced during the days of COVID-19 in 2019, when the students were unable to go to schools, college and universities due to the pandemic. Since then, the developing and underdeveloping countries trying to make education easy for every individual through the digital means of learning.

So we can say that, our reliance on technology will increase more in future even in educational sectors. The technologies like virtual reality, artificial intelligence and Augmented reality making learning more interactive through which the students can perform various activities which can increase their learning. Also the technology provides us borderless ways of getting education.

Which means that, we can stay connected, engaged and keep in touch with the students and teachers living in different countries of the world through the digital classrooms with the help of technological tools like zoom meeting app and other online learning applications. So in results we can say that the technology is making learning more interactive, easier and personalized.

Can the Steemit platform be used as a learning application? Explain your opinion.

According to me, the Steemit is a platform where we can earn and learn at the same time because the people, located in different regions of the world are working on it by sharing their daily routines, their knowledge about different aspects by participating in different contests. So by reading their diary games, we can learn about their daily routines, their activities, working places and the area where they are living.

Besides them, we can learn their views and get knowledge from them by reading their posts about different contests. Also by working on Steemit, we can improve our language especially the English language because most of the posts on Steemit are found in English. My English writing, vocabulary and knowledge also have been improved through the Steemit platform.

So now, we can say that the Steemit has a potential to serve as a learning application but for becoming a genuine learning application, it need some modifications such as there must be an option for online or live classes so the people can watch the content which they want to learn. Also there must be an inbox with our Steemit profile so the people or student can stay in touch with their tutors. After these modifications, the Steemit can become a wonderful learning application.

Do you think the use of digital applications can replace face-to-face learning completely?

Yes, without any doubt, I can say that the use of digital applications can replace face to face learning completely. Just imagine, you have a laptop, your learning applications are installed in it, you are connected with your teachers and getting education sitting in your home even sitting in your bedroom. Then, why would you try to get up early in the morning to get ready for school and then use any transport, pay fare and after crossing different roads, you will reach in your school, college and university?

Then think yourself, which one will be more better in terms of getting education, such as getting education from home or going to school after a tiring journey? I guess you will definitely chose education from home through the online means. In results, we can say that in near future, the reliance of education sectors on technology will increase massively. No doubt the use of technology in education is effective but it comes with various cons.

When everyone is getting education sitting in his bedroom, then who will go to schools? Who will make friends? Who will meet with his classmates, who will perform extracurricular activities? Definitely no one will do such important activities which has a great role in their lives especially when they are getting education. Lack of all these activities, can cause problems including the health issues, make the people isolate and physically unfit.

In results, a proper balance between the online education and physical activities is very important because we have to perform different tasks besides education throughout our whole lives. The activities like meeting with classmates, playing games and exchanging knowledge is very important for the growth and development of kids even at the college and university level too. So we should keep a proper balance between education and extracurricular activities.
