Netflix: Love and Monsters
This movie seemed super good to me, to pass the time. Let's say it's not the best movie but let's go Dylan who is the main protagonist and from my point of view is an excellent actor ... this movie has a bit of humor, love and a lot of courage to face fears.
I am very into seeing the teachings behind the movies and here I find one, and that is how our life is, many times they are terrified to leave our comfort zone and even the people who are around us around the part to motivate us to stay there, but we must be brave to take those steps of faith and courage to be able to get where we want or where we think we will be happier.
Synopsis: 7 years have passed since a horde of monsters swept the world. Joel has lived these years hidden in the basement, but, when he manages to contact his school girlfriend by radio, he decides to risk everything and travel 150 km to see her.
THE GOOD:
-It is one of those films that you come across by chance, and you think it will be a real disaster or more of the same, and I think it works to watch these types of tapes with low expectations, since you can get a pleasant surprise.
-It has very good visual effects and an incredible design of the monsters.
-The protagonist, played by Dylan O'Brien, does quite well; He has a lot of charisma and we can easily connect with him.
-The dog "Boy", undoubtedly the best character in the movie 🐶 ♥ ️.
- It leaves us very positive messages about personal growth, overcoming fears, about what it is to mature and how many times we do not value what we have and we realize it too late, despite its tone, it is a very reflective film.
THE BAD:
-There are several very interesting secondary characters that are wasted and that I would have loved to see more.
-The third act lowers the level, becomes predictable and cliché; and it sins of moments without sense as far as the relation of the protagonists.
In short, it is an enjoyable movie, with good visual effects and a fresh air for this science fiction genre.
