Such has been its success that the streaming platform has decided to renew it for a second and third season. Although at the end of the eighth episode they gave us a few details of what the next installment could bring us, the revelation of the villain of the second season makes the series deal with a subject that the Marvel films have not yet dared to do: The other dimensions.

Three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a total of 23 films and two series, and they have not yet introduced the multiverses (something that was believed that Scarlet Witch and Vision were going to do and that will finally be seen in Doctor Strange in the madness in the multiverse). But Invincible will already deal with it in its second season at the hands of the villain Angstrom Levy. This has been confirmed by Kirkman himself in a video published on the series' official Twitter account:

Angstrom Levy is considered one of the best villains in the Robert Kirkman comic. He is introduced as a character from another universe, one in which Mark sided with Omni-Man to take over Earth, thus becoming a ruthless member of the Viltrum empire.

However, Angstrom Levy appears to save this version of hers and bring him before hundreds of different Angstrom Levy, as her main plan is to gain insight into the experiences of each version of herself from across the multiverse. But his plans are stopped by Mark, so he becomes one of the main villains of the entire saga.
