The movie Twelve Monkeys is one of the most wonderful science fiction films I have ever watched in my entire life.

Despite the dazzling performance of the film's protagonists, Bruse Willis and Madeleine Stowe, it was Brad Pitt who stole the spotlight by playing the role of a psychopath in a row, which contributed to him receiving his first Academy Award nomination in his career, in addition to winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

I watched it two times in cinemas because it is very far from the place where I lived, and four times on a DVD, a very amazing movie that you watch many times and do not get bored of it as if you are watching it for the first time.

Going back to the movie, the main idea is to travel through time. We see the world in three different times, starting in the year 2030, after the spread of a virus that caused the death of five billion people, and the control of animals over the world, but so James Cole (Wellis) is sent to the nineties to collect information about The group that made this virus.

The film talks about a virus, and we are now in another virus, so do we also need to know the source of the virus?
In conclusion, if you want great films that are mainly based on genius ideas, you should go to the films of the 90

Sort:

It seems that the writers were right a virus eliminates the human race but currently the time machine is missing. Hahaha

i may have to go back and watch this again because my initial reaction to the movie all those years ago was I thought it was a bit "meh". Perhaps that has changed in 30 years
