STILL WAITING FOR SEASON 5 of R&M......WATCH SOLAR OPPOSITES S2 INSTEAD
Second post about this show for me. Mainly cos it's fantastic but also, SEASON 2 HAS COME OUT AND IT IS EVERYTHING I WANTED IT TO BE AND MORE.
Coming off a beautifully crafted Season 1, I thought it was gonna be more of the sum wacky, dark-humour (but not offensive), actually make you laugh comedy. AND IT WAS, but just done with some more originality. I admit there are some weaker points in the show that are very similar or just worse versions of Season 1, but they really do develop many of the characters very well.
I feel like Jesse really steps up in this season, she becomes a more central figure as I feel like Season 1 was more the Yumyulack show in comparison of the replicants. She's a fashion icon, utilising more of her alien behaviour, cracks some more jokes at Yum, Korvo and Terry's expense and its good to see her develop as a more important main as I feel she was underused in Season 1.
The PUPA, I mean WOW. Super important to the story in this season, some excellent moments throughout season 2 rather than last Season where it was kinda just shoved into the last episode (HOWEVER, LIAM CUNNINGHAM AS THE PUPA IN RETRACE YOUR STEPALIZER WAS UNREAL). The pupa is definitely a one to watch as the show's main arc does fall on it taking over the world so it's good to see more moments of seriousness as well as absurd comedy for it. However, I DON'T LOVE LIGHTNING MCQUEEN LIKE THE PUPA DOES.....
KORVO. NEVER CHANGE, too good. Just such a fantastic character and so much effort/lack of effort that always comes off as either pure genius or just an overload of silliness that is too crazy to not laugh.
Yumyulack and Terry were also great but I feel like was not as good as last season. Had better moments, I found Terry to be a little annoying this season and playing on the same jokes as Season 1 but has his great moments obviously. Yum is soooo funny but also just not as good of a performance in his arcs as Season 1.

BUT NOW.... THE SHOT GLASS DEFINITELY HURTS SO BAD. SO SAD but the adversity of Terry to move on after his BABU FRICK SHOT GLASS IS SHATTERED TO PIECES IS AMAZING TO WATCH
Definitely recommend this show, if you need a light show, REFERENCE HEAVY, bit unnecessarily gory and dark. THIS IS THE ONE.
It is on HULU, so VPN is the key. BUT SEASON 1 IS NOW ON DISNEY+ and SEASON 2 will be on Disney+ in the US and other countries on April 2.
