The Shining , 1980 Genre: Horror

The film is based on Stephen King's 1977 novel "The Shining" and is directed by Stanley Kubrick, a world-renowned filmmaker. The season time is from May to October in the year. Then due to severe winter and snowfall, the hotel and its surrounding area became snowy and isolated from the rest of the world.

Jack Torrance, a former school teacher Jack is a part-time writer and hotel manager. Jack told Woolman that he was looking for a job that would allow him to live peacefully with his wife Wendy and only son Danny and concentrate on his writing!

But manager Ulman warns Jack that Charles Grady, who worked for a similar winter manager a decade ago in the 1980s, suddenly lost his balance and killed his wife and twin daughters with an ax! Jack did not pay much attention to this and gladly got a new job.

Jack's son Danny had a special ability, he could see the past and the future and talk to one of his dual beings, whom he named Tony. Danny. He was not interested in coming to this hotel at all. The day Jack and his family came to the hotel to understand the responsibility from the management,

That day, the baby Danny was interviewed by the head cook, the black Dick Holoron. He had special powers like Dick and Danny and the two of them could communicate through telepathy. Before leaving the hotel, Dick told Danny to be careful and stay away from room number 236.

After everyone left, the Torrance family started living alone in such a big hotel. A month later, winter came and a severe blizzard started. What happens then ?? What happened to Charles Grady ten years ago is repeated with the Torrance family ??

Is there room number 236? Can Danny guess everything in advance in any way ?? If you want to get the answer to these questions, you have to watch this horror cum thriller film full of shortness of breath, which many of you may have seen before me !!

There are a lot of horror movies these days, but forty years ago, even with the use of minimal technology, a masterpiece film could be made with such a backbone in a cool current book. The director intimidated the audience throughout the film without the help of any gruesome faces or masks.

Legendary actor Jack Nicholson must have been his trump card in this regard! No ghost or horrible look ,,, Jack Torrance Rupi Nicholson will make my soul go out of the cage! Awesome, impeccable expression of his ,, eye language ,,.

I remember a few scenes again and again. Jack's bloody screams as he chases after his son, or his wife Wendy's door slammed shut. The demonic smile that melted his head through the gap and came out thirty-two times !! Terribly beautiful !!

Wendy Rupee Shelley Duval has given a worthy accompaniment. Shelley's persecution of a single mother to save her only child, helplessness of a terrified mother, fear of the inevitable death of two eyes, Shelley has come to the fore.

I can't forget the scene when Shelley fell Leaning on the table, he noticed that Jack had been typing page after page in the typewriter for a month in the name of writing ... "all work & no play makes Jack a dull boy" ... and secretly Jack appeared from behind!

Danny Lloyd in the role of the little sweet baby Danny Torrance and deserves praise! Without using a ghostly set in the psychological horror film, the director has made the imaginary hotel overlook effortlessly. Great background music. Of course, the use of drones was not common in the 1980s!

IMDb Rating: 8.4/10
My Rating: 8.5/10

Finally, I would like to say that maybe I am not alone who watch this movie ,,, you must have seen this movie a few times before me. But horror lovers can watch this movie again and again.

I love this one and I am a Jack Nicholson and Stephen King fan too.
The great thing about this film is it's never boring, just cold.
