How to promote Steemit?
Is it possible to promote Steemit?
At this moment I don't think so.
By now I am two years at this platform. The past year I joined on a daily base. Before that year I was absent for 6 months perhaps longer.
The past year was a year of changes, fights, and threats. Adults joining this platform boycott others, start blacklist only because those people do as they like. Apparently, it's forbidden to like certain platforms, communities people.
I tried to promote Steemit in the past. I did to relatives and friends, I started using Twitter again to do so with the #seven777 family but it was all pointless.
The ego of some people is bigger than the interest of this platform.
Steemit became in easier water.
The atmosphere became better. Fewer fights because people left. You only see them scold or downvote you. Not only here but at other platforms as well. I have no respect for adults shouting, scolding, showing twenty times the same picture of a dick or middle finger.
At this moment I wait and see how this platform develops.
I am still here if I can (slow connection) which means I have faith in this platform and yes, I have faith in Steem too.
Problems to deal with.
How to promote Steemit local?
This is the question asked and the main problem. The whole area where I live in struggles with a slow connection. Even with a faster one it is hard to load the site. At times I can read but because it's too heavy and not completely loads I can not upvote, comment, resteem. This causes stress and is not a plus.
It is a problem to lay hands on your Steem, to buy and sell.
So far the only option is @bitvavo and their service is not always good. There are times your transfers are gone for days. No explanation nothing. If you ask they play deaf and dumb.
Registration with other brokers is a problem. Mainly because no matter what I try I need to show my ID + selfie and it's not recognized. I turn out not to be the only one. Even if the broker says it's not necessary under a certain amount you still have to.
The whole process of Steem into... is difficult to understand and if you ask no one explains how to do it and what to do. I understand many have someone who does the buying/selling for them but that is not how it should be. If you have an account you have to be able to handle this aspect yourself.
Contact/help/comments.
It's not difficult to write a few lines and post it but what next? What if no one ever answers you? Those who are here for a quick post might not care but those who would love to engage, make some friends or contacts are lost here.
Steemit does not have a face other than earning. This was how it was promoted in the past years. An easy way to earn. Once here it turns out there is no easy way. It needs way more to be noticed, for others to upvote you.
Those I know are creative people. Creativity is the underdog. An animator painter, the poet, the writer they find nothing here. There is no support. The biggest part of Steemians are people who post, hate to read and many do not even like to write. I do not make this up I had a poll about it and asked.
You cannot promote a platform without a face.
If Steemit wants mass adoption they need to change.
- Clear communities for different ssubjects
- Reward commenting/longer comments that add something to the platform.
- Reward quality posts above the "Tweets"
- Easy buying/selling/transferring by one click on a button, amount - wallet address.
AAs soon this happens it will for sure be a hit. Keep in mind you can only promote something that you are enthusiastic about, is easy to join and answers the need of the public.

I think because of all the things going on around steem and hive I don't think it will be easy. iám also already not believed by family about this. I have an idea of a fork that will turn everything around but I don't have the technical knowhow how to do and run and program it. I know for sure that these platforms are not a replacement of Facebook not even nearly a competition of it. the freedom of speech everyone Say's you have is not true, if someone with a big vote comes along with a bad day he or she will drive you into the ground. So in another way both platforms are censored more in a way that facebook isn't.
Having power is a greater responsibility than everybody thinks. That's why I'm thinking of a thinktank a club of enthousiasts who will step in when a whale steps out of line.
The way this is going is not gonna attract people. The idea would be great... a platform where you can blog and earn money with it... with your friends.. but steem and hive is like the first mobile it is made by technicians very difficult... it must be like the mobile of today. easy with all the information in reach.

We need to keep it simple and only this way we can attract people.
To be honest I do not see any difference between Steemit and Hive. To me, the hive is not a better place. A few are in charge, you are blacklisted if you post somewhere else, for every word they do not agree with.
I am realistic. No matter what group, the club you join someone has to be in charge. Extra certs may look ideal and filled with energy but introverts, thinkers are needed to figure out what works best.
A dictator isn't per we bad. Look at our PM who points at Hungary and other countries but took all rights away. Does it make him a better man because he claims it's in name of the democracy? What democracy?
Steemit has potential and they are on the right way. Some things have to change to make it easier. Hopefully they still aim on quality too because I still did not find a platform who does so.
I don't think people should join because they can earn. They should join because they like to write and promote themselves. Quality should be rewarded in some way. Not the tweets and copy-paste tests.
A build in spam detector would be a great help too.
I will still talk to people about Steemit, the opportunities given and show how it works.
It would be good if newbies could post. Enough SP for 1-2 posts per 24 hours and 10 comments will do.
