Today in 300 characters - Three more days cherries
Three days left and I'm out of cherries!
I pick one kilogram a day. I made syrup, marmalade, canned cherries and made a cherry liqueur. If it comes to liquer not much can go wrong except for the taste.
This morning I read about another (French?) cherry pie recipe which I 'll try out in a few weeks.
The dough is made with yeast (flour, yeast, sugar, milk, egg and a bit salt).
The cherry filling I made a few days ago: cherries, sugar, water and corn starch.
That small one? It's made out of the bit dough left and filled with homemade strawberry marmalade.
A part of the dough I used to 'close' the flan. Some egg on it plus sugar.
Oven: 190°C - 20 till 30 minutes
The result. It tastes good one day later and great with whipped cream and if it's cold.

The marmelade was surprisingly good. I intend to pick the last cherries tomorrow. I try two different ways of brewing now. Liqueur and bread beer with cherries.
