I've heard that shadows of colors are blocked by their opposite color. Is that true?

Shadows cannot be blocked. A certain colour (of light) can but not the shadow itself since it appears as a result of light (not colour).

But I had heard that the color of the object that forms a shadow is the opposite color of it. And it appears in such a way that when we come into the shade from the sun, the colors that appear before our eyes are actually the colors of the shadow.

Light contains all colours but shadow is where there is no light.
