Corncake - Corn - Cornmeal

Corn, I cannot digest it.

Neither can my children, the wolves, or should the chickens we once had. Like my youngest always tales if we talk about how hard it is to digest vegetables: Even the wolf who ate the chicken who already ate the corn could not digest it.
It's true. The chickens were fed to the wolves and the corn - once in a while an egg too - popped right out of them.

Corncake seems to be famous in Brazil.
I searched on the internet and saw some photos. I cannot say it all looks tasty but perhaps it saves you adding sugar because corn is sweet or you have some filling in your cake you cannot digest which means no calories?
Anyway if you like to make a cake you can try this corncake recipe and let me know how it was.
I intend to bake less to save the Campingaz but smell too. For some reason, my oven smells terrible after gas, which it does not if I cook.

Cornflour we call in Dutch Maizena.
With this flour and milk, we make a custard for babies (bottle to start with) in the old days. It's seldom used these days. The package is small and expensive and if you have a look at the diaries sold with us, all those different custards and puddings it's useless to make it yourself. I do at times if it comes to chocolate custard. The only thing you need is real cocoa, sugar, cornflour, and milk (or water if you avoid milk). According to my youngest, it's still the best, most tasty custard there is.

What does CCC mean to me?
It's a community that is hard to digest at times because of its kernels. Some are good, invest and grow into strong plant. Others just consume, fall off the cob and transport themselves to a different place to replant themselves, been eaten, beaten or suddenly disappear.
The good news is the community is there, she shines on you, gives a push into the right direction and is willing to invest and... you are free to plant into the earth she is fertilizing. No matter where you live, together we can bake a great cake.
