C stands for... couple

With couple, I mean two people living together, people who committed to love, support each other in good and bad times. How easy it is to forget this promise but also to discover nothing fades as fast as love.
It leaves one with the question of whether real love exists at all if we can love someone else. Can we love somebody or is love (finding the love of our life) merely a selfish deed meant to make us feel better about ourselves because with a partner comes that proof we are a great person, no loser and are indeed good enough to make someone fall for us?

Love is a way to manipulate someone and that's what we do. It can be something small not worth mentioning or big enough to spoil one's life. It's strange how easily we abuse someone, a good person, someone already willing to help to succeed us even without being manipulated or... threatened.
Why is it that in so many relationships there's always one person manipulating, abusing, dominating even willing to break the partner and the other lets it happen? If you think about it it's strange because the manipulated one is kindhearted and willing to support no matter what it takes but not stupid. The signs are always there and in most cases noticed. As long as the dream about the great partner, the relationship is intact rudeness, manipulative behaviour and a harsh life are accepted once the dream is broken and the manipulated one wakes up a different episode starts.

The manipulator might discover that a price has to be paid for the wrongdoing and the game is lost. On the other hand, the abused one of the duo can act unexpectedly fight back, turn nuts and be hospitalised or never gets over the broken promise, being cheated on and doing everything to fight the ex's new life.

The series 'Dirty John' made me think. Season one is way better than season two which starts slow but you don't need to be a good observer or listener to see and hear which games are played. The remarks make it clear, the threats do and do does the 'suddenly' being kind and attentive act.
