Reading your words, I couldn’t help but nod along. Friendships in our youth often feel invincible, but life has a way of scattering people in different directions. I think it’s natural that priorities shift and circles change — it doesn’t mean the past friendships weren’t real, just that they belonged to a certain season of life. Sometimes, even if reunions never happen, the memory of those bonds continues to shape who we are.
I also have many friends I don’t talk to anymore, but I’ll forever cherish those memories. Nostalgia sometimes hits hard, like a bitch literally, but it only proves that you really did have a wonderful time once.
And boy, did we have a great time back then. We always did everything together: studying, sports, video games, social gatherings with other friends. If one of us got an invitation, it was like inviting all of us. If someone couldn't go, then none of us went... We were very loyal in that way.
I treasure the memories of that time; a time when I had no responsibilities other than to myself and to honor my parents. It was a very beautiful time.
