My green life led me here
I had to huff and puff
My eyes fixed on black tar
Hands on my knees, I looked up
And my oh my
What shades! The green is accepting
Of all differences
Of all unique glory
The vibrant shoot, peeping
Hoping for a glimpse of sun
Huggable looking teddy bear cholla
Arrested my gaze and tempted me
Just a touch, progress
Greens have no apologies
I take them as they are
In all their glory
Green Life is a better thing. Cheers.
