Contest : C-stands for Crazy

C - stands for Crazy and captivating... Because this book I just finished reading is all that and more.

“Lagos is crazy."
Nearly all the men in Lagos are mad is the debut novel of Damilare Kuku. It is a collection of twelve short stories with unique voices, protagonists and themes. It isn't a book to antagonize men, it actually has male voices dominating some of the storiesand I believe anyone would enjoy it.

The feels.
Anger, eye-roll compelling annoyance, thigh-slapping laughter, quiet sadness and empathy. You name it. Feels are important to me when I'm reading a book— the more I feel, the better the ratings. This one was crazy from start to end. You can interpret crazy your way, it was “mad oo”... For me.

Captivating. Whew! I was hooked and left thirsting for more. There were themes of women supporting women, heartbreak, reflection, tolerance, adultery and trauma to mention a few. I love pidgin in books and it has some easy to understand ones in it.

I give it five out of five stars and recommend it to people who love gist without loving gossip, it's not sneaky, it's bold. Below is a self explanatory quote to nudge you to read go read this awesome book.
