Speaking of dictionaries... it reminds me of my mom. She was a philologist. And so, as a little girl (who could already read), I’d ask her about the meaning of some word that interested me but was too advanced for my age, and my mom would invariably say, “Look it up in the dictionary.” And I would look it up. Ozhegov’s dictionary was my go-to book...
So next to reading you also learned at a young age how to search into a dictionary. I had many, in different languages. I do believe these are great books and it a loss people no longer use them. The brain remembers better what we see on paper than the screen.
