Sounds as if grandma is the wise friend and god is.
My grandmother died many years ago, she studied the Bible, she was evangelical, I could also say that she was a very intelligent woman.... don't always have to ask God, I suppose she gets bored hearing so many requests, it's possible that God, helps people to do things for themselves
