This week the theme at the CCC contest hosted by @wakeupkitty every Saturday is "do it yourself".

I'll tell you that today we have to do many things for ourselves. In my case, I have to repair the details of pipe damage at home, damage to electricity cables, damaged walls and floors... But what I really like to do for myself relates to my garden themes.

In my day to day I have to make my own pots for my plants, I recycle what I can from plastic containers and reuse them. These are containers of water, vinegar and oil. I washed them, trimmed them and proceeded to put compost soil in and then sow.

I also reuse large paint containers, those of 3 liters or more. There I plant the largest plants. I also use them to collect water, if they have a suitable lid, to serve as a reservoir of water for the days of drought.

This is a rosemary plant placed in a small plastic container and the next one is a lemon plant only a week old. I'll let it grow there until it yields its lemons.

I also plant ornamental plants like this Tradescantia Sillamontana in recycled plastic containers, it blooms every day.

Y esta es su hermosa flor.

And this is her beautiful flower.

There are many things that I have learned to do in my garden, without having to go out to buy them. Apart from saving money that is difficult to get in these times, I'm eating the products of my own crops and their taste has nothing in common with the taste from the products that I buy in the market.

God always blesses us.

I am @gertu from Venezuela to the world.

Thanks.

Your plants do well in the pots you made yourself. I wonder if you make holes in it so too much water can get out. My little lemon plants drowned. Just one shower needed.

These days we all fix everything ourselves. Soon the "specialists" are no longer needed.

Thanks for joining. You have #1.

The containers need small holes to drain the water. Without the holes the roots rot.
So far my planting is going very well.

I no longer need to go shopping for many things. I make them myself.

Your flowers grow really well in the containers. I do that too. And yes, we must make holes for the water to drain out. There are so many things we can do DIY :)

Especially in the home and gardening. How many things we fix and we do it very well.
