Contest “looking back and looking forward...” Week 4.23.
My home repairs continue. Now I am painting my walls in the front of the house. I chose the color blue… just because it was the color that was left and it’s the most cheap. Along with gray, they have painted my home using a combination of these two colors. I like the way the front of my house has turned out and now all we have left is the side of the office.
Next week they will paint the living room and then they’ll go to the inside of my house. There I will just touch up my apple green color. I have so much work to do that December will not be enough for me, I hope it is because I'm tired of going in and out all day to give directions.
I’ll not put up the tree. I've told myself I won't put it up until things change and since everything stays the same then, no Christmas tree.
I love Christmas, since I was a little girl I always loved it. It was a date to share even though I was always busy, studying, on call, traveling and less sharing with my family and friends.
Nowadays I enjoy the time I have. The pandemic brought peace of mind to my life. I have a job, I have ways to earn my living, thank God, I have some of my family and my son close by. I write here and there. So for the first time in my life these past few years I feel calm, in company, loved and with real friends.

For the first time you feel calm. Perhaps it is worth celebrating and put that tree down?
It's very blue. You won't find houses painted into that colour here (or any colour). It looks like the see.
I have my Christmas in my memories. Family togetherness, my siblings. Now my Christmas is my son and I, and sometimes I go to my nephews' house.
Around here the houses use these colors, green, red, purple, red wine, brown, electric blue, yellow, many bright colors.
Later I will make a post about it, taking pictures of neighbors houses so you can see the colors hehehehe.
Your son is family too and it's important to have new memories. Not about how it once was. I'll try to do that too. Not that these bad years remain in the memory as a black hole.
It's exactly what our government wants. We have to stop celebrating. It started years ago. Even the word 'christmas' is no longer allowed on articles.
Looking forward to see the colourful pictures. Your walls definitely look better in blue. Cheap is only white here. Colours will cost extra.
Hello @gertu, the important thing is to feel the Christmas season and see the changes. When possible, I like to paint the house.
