It reminded me of this line I saw last night one Kdrama when you mentioned memories fade. This guy is an immortal and he was pondering if 1000 years is enough to forget dreadful stuff and at the same time he also pondered if the good memories would fade away too
1000 years is not enough to forget. It is not meant to be to forget since these are lesson, moreover warnings. And as long we keep letting us fooled and fall into the same trap, our life doesn't change the lesson isn't learned. Even if life changed into the better the memory is still there. Can be the sharpest edges are gone but it is there. Good memories are harder to remember. I also believe it is a "gift" to be able to pull yourself back into your Dreamworld/bubble surrounded by good memories only. I am not one of these people who can. Perhaps if no one disturbs me, but that's not the case.
I no longer watch TV since over 25 years and kdrama and many films make me feel sad. So it is better not to watch. I guess that voice saying 'it's not real' takes all the charm and hope away.
