Three monkeys

The Dharma picture from these three monkeys I found at Wat Chonprathan.

The first monkey raised his hand and covered his ears. The second monkey raised his hand and covered his eyes. And the third monkey put his hand up and covered his mouth.

Why did the three monkeys have to behave so strangely?

That was because the three monkeys wanted to warn the humans that

Anything that is not good to hear you should cover your ears.
Don't allow it to pass into your ears.

Any image that is not good should be cover your eyes.
Don't let those bad images pass into the eye canal.

Any bad word should be cover your mouth.
Don't let anyone hear bad words come out of your mouth.

If you could do like these three monkeys, your life would be peaceful.

Human beings are rational animals. high-minded animal
Humans call themselves noble creatures. exalted above other animals
Because they know how to think, know how to differentiate...
