Happy Caturday: orange cats trying to catch a squirrel, แมวส้มจ้องจับกระรอก

One fund day, I heard some noises from a branch in the bamboo woods. It’s a small squirrel scolding cat my orange cats, he was trying to frighten my cats with his noises. But orange cats had other idea. The big one jumped into a pole to attract the squirrel’s attention. The other cat went into the Bush trying to get closer to the squirrel from under the tree.

I was a bit worried that this young squirrel would be caught and injured so I quietly watched my cats’ movements. The squirrel dared not move away from the branch as if he was hypnotise by my cat. The other cat was getting closer and closer. So, I decided to make loud noises to frightened the squirrel away from the tree. This worked beautifully; the squirrel ran away into other direction while my cats were quite upset that the prey escaped from they’d claws!

เราสังเกตเห็นแมวส้มมีท่าทางแปลกๆ ตอนบ่ายวันหนึ่ง. เราได้ยินเสียงดังมากจากกิ่งไม้ในป่าไผ่ใกล้ๆ. เราตามไปดู ก็เห็นว่ามีกระรอกตัวเล็กๆ กำลังเกาะกิ่งไม้ และร้องเสียงดังเพื่อขู่แมวส้ม. มันเด็กมากและคิดว่าแมวจะกลัว แมวตัวพี่ก็กรดโดดเกาะเสา และต้องดูกระรอก ทำให้กระรึกลัวมากจนไม่กล้าขยับตัวเลย. ส่วนแมวตัวน้องก็ย่องไปในพุ่มไม้เงียบๆ เพื่อจู่โจมกระรอกจากด้านล่าง

เราคิดว่ากระรอกน้อยอ่อนประสบการณ์มาก คงไม่รอดแน่ถ้าเราไม่ทำอะไรบางอย่าง. แมวก็ค่อยๆเจ้าใกล้ต้นไม้เข้าไปทุกที. เราก็เลยทำเสียงดังตะโกนบอกให้กระรอกรีบหนีไป. มันตกใจมากจึงกระโดดลงจากกิ่งไม้ และวิ่งเข้าไปในป่าไผ่ ทำให้มันรอดชีวิตกลับบ้านไป. ส่วนแมวส้มสองตัวผิดหวังมากต้องกลับมาบ้านมือเปล่า เจ้ากระรอกน้อยยังตัวเล็กมาก เราคิดว่าคงเป็นลูกกระรอกที่พึ่งออกมาหากินเองครั้งแรก

We actually have several visiting squirrels around the garden: white squirrels, red ones, black ones, grey ones, deep brown ones too. Those white ones look pretty!
