Weekly Report 30/09/2020 - 07/10/2020 Italy Country Representative - Steem Greeter Team

This is my weekly report regarding the activities of Country Representative for Italy and member of the Steem Greeters team.

Italian Steemit Community: the situation

This first week of October has been very important, intense and demanding for our community, as we have completed and announced one of the projects we have been working on in the last few weeks.
In the last report we set ourselves two main objectives:

1. Recruit new valid Italian users
2. Try to convince foreign users to write their posts in the Community Italy

The confrontation between us gave rise to many ideas. In our group, everyone shares their impressions and thoughts and now that @sardrt is also returning to resume active here on the platform, we have even more chances to find solutions.

The idea we presented to the whole Steemit community, to the Team and to our Country Representative friends, was by Tino / @famigliacurione, who illustrated it in one of his podcasts in Italian, Curione Live - Puntata 17, and then shared with me.

The project is called Dear Italy...Greetings from (The World)! and although initially it seemed to have gone a little unnoticed, after a while it was enthusiastically received by many of the Country Reps and also by the Team.

Soon we start with the 7 days in which users can participate, hoping to have the feedback, interaction and participation we expect.

The first results, or at least the first signs that come after the announcement, are already very encouraging.
There was a boom in memberships and in 7 days we went from 271 to 326 members.
55 new members, with a trend of +20% is really a very positive fact.

The best news, however, is the one concerning active users: we went from a negative trend, as we were losing participation, to extraordinary growth, as we go from 24 to 30 active users in the community. We hope to continue like this.

It's also interesting to note how the rewards remained constant in a week in which the Steem token did not shine and therefore physiologically eroded something. I think if we continue like this, in the next week we will have a nice surprise about it.

@Italygame Team

Italygame is working really hard, engaging in a parallel work to what is done by me.
It is underway the fifth week of the BEST USER OF THE WEEK CONTEST. This is the initiative in which every week the best user of the community is rewarded with 5 SBD.

I want to thank @mikitaly for the really valuable work she has been doing for weeks now.

Curation

I continue to curate the best content published by Italian users.

I do this with my personal account, with my curation trail top.rewards.club and as a curator of @symbionts - @ecosynthesizer.

Since this week, I have lowered the percentages of votes I give outside the community, so that my VP is higher.

Steem Greeter Activity

In addition to being part of the Greeters Fairy Team, I was assigned by @cryptokannon to curate Achievement1 for newcomers from English speaking countries like USA/Canada or English speaking European countries.

There aren't many users of these nationalities joining Steemit right now, this week I still got to approve posts from:

• @nostifer
