Namaste Steem Family,

It has been a very time consuming couple of weeks for me, so I was unable to devote more time to Steem-related work, but I was still able to solve the main problem that I described in my first weekly report.

A problem we were experiencing was with the machines we had at our investment and guidance center. There were two of our machines that stopped working and we were unable to restore them to working order owing to the cost of repairing them, which would have allowed us to purchase two refurbished machines for the same amount.

That was all we did. As part of our guidance center's technology upgrade, two refurbished computers (both laptops) have been purchased. The purpose of this report is to describe the machines we have purchased and how they will be used by our local members.

Description of Laptops Bought:

On the table, the rightmost laptop is my personal laptop that I provide to users for writing. I purchased this laptop a year ago. The two other laptops (the one on the left and the one in the middle) are both refurbished laptops.

The majority of work that is to be performed on these laptops is going to be writing, so we did not purchase a laptop that could perform heavy tasks such as video editing or gaming. In terms of functionality, it is limited to browsing the internet and opening Microsoft suite applications.

Let me now describe each laptop in more detail:

1. Lenovo Laptop (Intel i3 3rd Generation)

Though this laptop is a good investment, we are not planning to use it for any other purpose than to write posts for Steemit.

Price:

12,000 INR (535 Steem)

2. Dell Laptop (Intel Pentium)

We purchased this laptop because we were able to get it for a lower price than the laptop described above. Although the processor is not as powerful as the laptop mentioned above, we purchased it regardless as we do not intend to use it for anything other than writing.

Price:

9,000 INR (400 Steem)

Further Plans

The Steemit guidance center has recruited more than ten people from the local area, and more people are coming each day to find out more about the platform and the Steem blockchain.

Because we were unable to provide enough machines to our members, most of them have been inactive for the last few days. Our hope is that now that we have three machines, they will be able to be more active.

In order to meet the demand we are experiencing, we would still need around 2-3 additional machines. There are many members who come together and then they must wait for their turn to write their posts. It is still our intention to spend more money on these machines, and we hope to have them available to our members by the end of the week.

Having paid for all of these machines out of my own pocket up until now, I have begun to identify @taskgarud as a beneficiary in my posts and reports. I hope this does not cause any problems.
