Today I will be talking about an interesting topic in business. I have figured out that most business individuals care less about this particular concept in business and not knowing this is an important role that helps business grow. so I urge you all to sit tight as I begin.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY THE WORD PACKAGING?

The word packaging can be seen as a way of careful and proper arrangement of items in a more pleasant order which in turn fascinates the customers and then entices them to get those items. packaging is a way of designing a product in a store in other to make it look more attractive and almost irresistible to get.

Packaging is a way of getting rid of damages. the packaging does not just imply that items are expected to be made attractively but also to be free from dirt and also be protected from damages. just the way we take care of ourselves by getting new clothes and shoes just to beautify ourselves, in the same manner, is known as packaging.

Let us take an example, take a close look at a restaurant or an eatery, the way they serve their takeaway dishes is unique. everyone has his or her unique idea of packaging foods in takeaway containers. so the whole idea of packaging is not only for the goods by making the container fancy but also to protect the items from damage.

So with this example, I believe we all know what packaging is all about. and packaging is done in a unique manner which happens to protect the product from external factors such as dirt and damage, and also packaging helps to make a product look so wonderful. packaging also determines how well one organizes his or her items it shows a high level of commitment and aspiration for a great service from the said company, business, or industry as the case may be.

THE CONCEPT OF PACKAGING GOODS IN BUSINESS

Business as we all know deal with buying and selling items of different kinds, and as such one do not just buy and sell these items. there are processes that these items are expected to undergo before letting them out to the market. as a business individual, it is expected that you carry out the necessary processes that are needed in managing and handling your goods or services. there should always be room for processing and making sure all conditions are met following the business as the case may be.

Now packaging in business is an important concept that many business owners do not put into consideration. the ideology of business encompasses the idea of just buying and selling in other to make profits but also to put together certain conditions which necessitate the improvement of the business standard and that is where the concept of packaging comes in.

We are in the new age era and as such things are becoming more modernized. the concept of packaging is widely seen in all industries, businesses, and companies and as such, they make s their items more attractive to be patronized by people. the concept of packaging does not just lie on the items alone but also it needs to be displayed where those items are kept as though this will properly showcase not just the beauty of the item but also that of the store it been kept.

Using my business to cite an example of what packaging seems like. as a dealer of bags and boxes, I have not only known how to package my items but also I have learned how to display them in a well-organized manner. a saying says you dress just the way you want to be addressed and so implies the way we package our items. there are shops close to me that are careless of this concept and as such tends to envy me and my business, they think I have other sources of getting people to buy my items but little wonder that they do not know the concept of packaging. a proper hierarchy of display of goods in an orderly manner attracts people whenever they take a close look at your store.

With proper placement of each box according to their respective alignment and also getting good qualities with beautiful colors that look so attractive to all who take a glance at it and also keeping them away from all external factors such as dirt and damages from sunlight radiation. the problem that comes with my kind of business is that, when goods stay longer than expected in the store, their color and quality are often worn out, and also when are exposed to sunlight, the texture gets weakened by the radiation from the sun and as such the goods not only do they change colors but also lose their quality alongside their beauty. and that has been the problem other competitors faced.

I have been encountering such a problem for a while since, for one to sell off his items, it is expected the goods are to be displayed outside so that passersby could see them and if interested come to get them and when these goods are displayed outside they, get exposed to external factors such as sunlight and wind which affect the goods so bad. so what I do is that I make a place inside my store to keep these goods in closed confinement which is considered safe from these factors, and as such preventing my goods from this factors has enforced me to put my goods inside the store but then that has never stopped customers from patronizing me. knowing fully well that I care for my goods and also make sure that they do not get worn out.

With this, I have managed to sell many of my goods in good condition leaving other competitors to wonder what the secrete is. so knowing this many of my customers refer other people to my store for they know so well that I have wonderful packaging when it comes to the handling of my goods and with this, I tend not to be worried provided I am assured that my goods are not exposed to sunlight and wind.

So with that, it is vital to see why it is advisable to inculcate the aspect of packaging in our businesses. knowing the importance of the concept of packaging will give us insight concerning what it does to businesses.

IMPORTANCE OF PACKAGING IN BUSINESS

• PACKAGING PROVIDE PROTECTION TO ITEM - One of the importance of packaging is that it protects items from damage. I just cited an instance using that of my business, with packaging, one can provide shelter for items that are sold and of course, this will give a great motive to the customers knowing fully well that your items are very well protected and with a proper packaging one is sure of a positive business outcome. by packaging your goods you are making sure that you do not only care for the money but also the satisfaction of the people coming to purchase those items in question. so when an item is free from external factors, it last look provided no damage is been done to such item and as such makes it better to be used.

• PACKAGING CREATE AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE FOR THE PEOPLE PATRONIZING YOUR BUSINESS - This is also a great aspect related to packaging. it creates a memorable experience in the heart of your customers and as such, they will always look forward to patronizing you again. often people do refer other people to our businesses whenever the need arises and this is because they have indeed tested the experience and from that experience, they tend to refer other people to come and patronize us. that is what packaging can do. people first of all talk about the appearance of your business before the items, so packaging helps you create an unforgettable experience in the heart of your customers.

• PACKAGING HELPS YOU MAINTAIN YOUR CUSTOMER - Some customers are enticed and attracted to packaging. it is also a way to show how neat you are while handling your business. most customers do not like the fact that they come to certain businesses' stores and then find out that the place is not well furnished, tidy, or are not well kept. those attributes are indeed a great turn down to many and as such well packaged items can keep your customers for life, even if there are competitors, one of the attributes that keep a customer is the way a business owner properly packages his or her goods. so packaging in business helps to maintain customers.

I was able to gain more customers in a short while and the reason for that is because of the way I adequately package my goods. this has been one of the characteristics that I have employed to keep my business going. imagine a scenario whereby you go to a restaurant, the first thing you look at is the aesthetic gratification and how things are being arranged in the restaurant before going to the counter or talking to a waiter by making your orders and then you find out that they lack good packaging ability. this will decrease the way you like such a restaurant and as such one tend to locate another restaurant where things are seen in an orderly manner.

So the way one packages his or her business determines how good the quality of the items in the business are. so as business individuals it is advisable that when getting quality items concerning your business it is expected that you employ a good concept of packaging of goods in your business in other to bring out the best in it and with that, it automatically creates an unforgettable experience in the minds of your customers and as such they get to direct other people to your store be it the business is hidden under the mountain provided the packaging is super, they will come to patronize you.
