Top with gathered sleeves for the new Shana Design collection:
This top is made with a piece of black cotton fabric, as we can see, it is a garment close to the body, therefore, a large amount of fabric is not needed to make it, I used basic sewing tools such as scissors, elastic needle and thread spools, I used my familiar machine for the sewing process to give the top a better finish.
I have relied on youth styles for this collection, we already know that the subject of gathering sleeves is a trend nowadays, and that the girls have been very fascinated by this whole trend of gathering.
These types of tops are quite simple to make and the production time is about 20 minutes including the polishing and revision of the garment.
Why use the color black?
The color black is one of the most used colors in the fashion industry in all the existing styles, the black color goes with all the colors, when we do not know what garment to wear to go out or with what to agree, we always obtain the black color already be it in shirts, tops, pants or shoes, this color option is one that almost no person discards when it comes to dressing.
The other reason and that for my undertaking is extremely important is that the fabric I had was black, and therefore it was necessary to make a garment with this piece of fabric and not have to buy more, these fabrics are residual fabrics from other garments and you have to take advantage of them and in this way I can offer the garments to my clients at a lower price.
The gathered top is for a variety of bodies, that is, not only can skinny people use it, we also make sizes a little larger according to what our client wants.
In the sample image we can see a person who is in a standard contest, that is, he is not very thin but he is not fat and the top fits his body making him highlight his figure and it fits him really well.

When we have a small business, production costs are higher but Shana Design implements the scrap recycling technique to create new garments to lower costs.
