Greetings dear friends, today I want to discuss with you an important and relevant point in the world of agriculture, it is a great factor that helps, interferes and regulates the success of orchards, and this factor is the quality of the soil pH.

The pH corresponds to identifying how acidic or alkaline the soil is, in this way we know how well the plant will develop with the availability of nutrients that we are going to add.

A stable pH in agricultural soils should be between 6.5 and 7.0 on the scale to obtain better profitability and higher productivity in crops.

For example, if we have hydroponic crops we need to add water-soluble, if the soil is very acidic on the pH scale, that is, between 4-5 that nutrient that we are adding will not be absorbed into the plant and will You will see reflected since the color of the plant can turn to yellowish or its leaves can become a little strange shapes or wrinkling. this characteristic does not say that we must repair or adjust the pH of the soil.

Now, how can we repair that pH? For this we need a pH regulator kit, we regulate that scale, to keep it between 6-7 which is the chemical composition of the soil that we need so that the availability of the nutrients that we add is optimal, we will see the result in the form and manner response of the plant.

One of the best known techniques in the world of agriculture to raise the pH of the soil is the use of agricultural lime, because its solubility is quite low when applied on the surface of the earth, it will work only in the upper layer without affecting the depth.

This type of element, such as agricultural lime, will reduce the acidity of the earth, which is due to the high level of toxicity due to aluminum which goes to the roots. In turn, lime provides calcium for the best development of crops.

Likewise, it is worth taking some soil samples to an institute that is in charge of carrying out the analysis of the same, in this way we will already be prepared to give the necessary nutrients to our plants. My recommendation for this analysis is that we sample from 3 different areas after excavating approximately 15 cm.

I want to share with you some tips to know if the plants are on the right track:

• All leaves must be fully formed and free from insect bites.

  • All the edges of the sheet must not present some type of burn.

•The leaves must not present any colored spots, caves or grooves made in the dermis of the leaf.
• The sheets must not be folded towards the inside or outside of the sheet.

• Leaves should be firm and soft to the touch, with no signs of dehydration or wilting.
• The underside of the leaves must not contain any type of host insect that deteriorates the leaf system.

When we know what our soil suffers, we can offer you help, either with fertilizers with a high content of potassium, calcium or iron.

We must never skimp when it comes to supplying nutrients to the land that will bear fruit.

Glossary of terms:

Hydroponics: planting system where plants receive nutrients dissolved in water from the roots instead of agricultural soil.
Water soluble: vitamins that dissolve easily in water.
Fertilizers: either organic or inorganic substance that provides necessary nutrients to soils.

Well friend, it has been several years learning from the best farmers in the Fundo, my grandfather and my father.

Hello @carlosluis , it is good that you are sharing this topic about soil PH.

As well mentioned, it is an important and priority factor for the sowing to be successful.

Know the soil, how to work it, the resources so that it improves when sowing. It is necessary to evaluate so that the investment is correct and what is expected is obtained.

The more I read, the more interesting this information is, the earth speaks for itself and shows it in the plants. Each sheet shows what the earth generates in it.

Thank you for this: pH between 6.5 and 7.0, for those who start at home, their small field and others, who are experimenting and making their dreams come true in this area.

We hope that you will soon delve into the subject and in this way we all feel part of the work learning with you.

Thank you for sharing and displaying your commercial work.

That's right, the earth speaks to us and the more it is offered and treated, the better the results it will bring us.

providing good nutrients to the plants ensures an excellent harvest and I see that you care about that, nice to see what you share this material with us.
