It is an immense honor to publish in the community the good news of the majestic performance that a student from our academy had in the 12th South American WAKO Kickboxing Championship, which took place from December 7 to December 12, in the city of Cascavel, Paraná State of Brazil. After being a little disconnected from the networks, for personal reasons and because of the hard work with the training of the national team that we would take to said event. It was time to start the trip, but with the unfortunate news that due to lack of financial resources and the support of national or regional companies, the 12 students who had trained for three months could not travel. And we only managed to bring a single athlete Guillermo Cobo, a 13-year-old young man, who made the commitment to give his best as an athlete for each partner who cannot travel. Likewise, an athlete accompanied us with his teacher from the Carabobo state in Venezuela.

I can confess that the journey was made with effort and that the outward journey was quite a challenge, because we undertook the trip by land until we reached Boa Vista in Brazil and from there we boarded by plane to Cascavel, where our destination would be and the place where held said tournament.

However, it was worth everyone's effort, because the results of our athlete Guillermo Cobo, raised the name of Venezuela and of course our ASLKV academy, since it showed that Venezuelans, despite the difficulties and hand in hand of God, with passion victories are achieved.

For the first day of competition, this athlete participated in the categories of musical forms, creative forms, forms with weapons and forms with musical weapons, where this young man achieved his first four medals (2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze)

Then, the next day he had the participation in combat of Point Fighting and Light Contact, where he fought with intelligence and gallantry, thus achieving two more first places.

In summary, this young man had an amazing participation in the South American, obtaining the title of the Athlete with the highest number of medals, qualifying for the Junior Cadet World Cup in Ireland for 2022. I was able to verify that my teachings for so many years as a coach were satisfactory because I am seeing the fruits of my harvest with this champion. The final result is the following:

Delegations from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Paraguay and Venezuela attended this championship. Being our country with the least number of athletes, because only two Venezuelan athletes attended, who thanks to their dedication and commitment to kickboxing, left Venezuela in a good position, because they were with the purpose of winning and that is how it turned out, we brought us 8 medals in total (4 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze).

Currently, it fills me with pride that our academy is a hotbed of champions and aside a great satisfaction because as a Teacher I can see that my teachings, the discipline within the academy and the passion of each student make a difference where we stand.

Likewise, we continue working now with more commitment because different world championships are coming to us in Ireland, as well as the Pan American.
