Hi, I hope all of you in Channel "F" on Steem are doing well. I'm back to participate in the contest that @hive-165008 is organizing. I'm thrilled to introduce you to puff puff, a beloved Nigerian treat.

INTRODUCTION

Puff puff is a deep-fried snack popular in West Africa. It is made by combining flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and water and then deep-frying it. It is usually served hot and is commonly eaten as a snack or dessert. It can also be eaten with a variety of sauces and condiments, such as honey, jam, or peanut butter. Puff puff is a popular street food in many countries and is a common treat at festivals and other gatherings.

Why I like puff puff?

I like puff puff because it is a sweet, deep-fried snack that is one of the popular Dissert in Nigeria. The dough is made from a simple mixture of flour, yeast, sugar, and water, which is then deep-fried in oil until it is golden and fluffy. I also like Puff puff because is easy to make, and its inexpensive cost makes it a great snack for any budget. Additionally, The result is a delicious snack that is both sweet and savory. Its also a great snack to serve at parties or other gatherings, as it can be easily shared among guests.


During the home economics food practical in junior secondary school, I learned how to make puff puff. and ever since have been able to prepare it.

The following are steps on how to prepare puff puff

Step 1: In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt.

Step 2: Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, ½ teaspoon of nutmeg, and ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Step 3: Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add 1 cup of warm water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Step 4: Mix all of the ingredients together until a batter forms.

Step 5: Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or deep-fryer over medium-high heat.

Step 6: Drop small spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot.

Step 7: Fry until the puff puff is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 8: Using a slotted spoon, remove the puff puff from the oil and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.

Step 9: Serve warm with your favorite soft drinks, such as Coca-Cola, Fanta, or wine. Enjoy!

In conclusion, puff puff is a sweet and delicious dessert that anybody may make for themselves or for family, friends, and guests, as well as for a party. If you've never tried it, I strongly advise you to try making it; trust me you'll like it.

We've got a dish very similar to this in South Africa.
It is called "vetkoek" and absolutely delicious! We fill them with minced beef curry. Yummy!
I will have to try your version sometime.

I am very fond of desserts. Actually without dessert lunch and dinner are incomplete. Your favourite dessert looks so yummy and in India , there is dessert by name of chhota gulab jamun . Now I have to eat it because it is mouth watering dish .
