Our life is nothing but a small segment of the eternal flow of time. That is why we measure our life first by the length of time that we cover till death. So, the value of time is virtually the value of life itself.
Time flows on and on. It never halts its always-busy chariot even at the King's request. It yields to none. So, one who idles away it can never get it back. A man can rewin his lost wealth but can never get back his lost time. Consequently, only the active and made-use-of portion of his time is the actual measure of his life. the rest being lost and useless. Thus a man seen to have been living a sixty-years life may actually have a twenty- years life only, if he has wasted away his time.
The measurable contribution of time to our Ifie is the achievement that we have by being active and effortful during a certain period of time. If we, therefore, continue doing our essential work without sitting idle. we will be able to make use of it. Thus if we can avail ourselves of the opportunity of each moment by hard labour and effort. we can enrich our life with achievements. pleasure. and knowledge. Then that will be a real life. We should not postpone today's work until the next day. And we should make well-thought-out plans to spend time.
The ultimate reward of diligence is a happy and rich life full of prosperity. knowledge. pleasure. experience. friends, and so on.
No person should kill away his/her time. And it has to be used most perfectly in the student life.
