Delicious Egg Chitoi Pitha

Assalamu Alaikum Steemian. By the grace of Allah I am fine with your prayers. Today I will share my country's winter recipes in a contest organized by the Steemit Travel community.

The season of winter creates a festive mood among us. And that is the festival of pitha. Apart from the festival, whether we have breakfast or an afternoon snack on winter days, our pitha is the priority. Anyway, today I am going to share with you a winter pitha recipe on my way. And his name is Egg Chitoi Pitha. Egg Chitoi Pitha is a very popular winter food in our country. And to increase the extra taste of this pitha, eggs are added, which are very tasty and nutritious. So let's see how I made Egg Chitoi Pitha .

I mentioned below the ingredients I needed to make it.

  • Rice powder - 500 gms.
  • Eggs - as quantity.
  • Tomatoes - 2 pieces.
  • Green chillies – as per quantity.
  • Oil – 1 teaspoon.
  • Salt-like flavor.
  • Hot water- like amount.

So let's get started with today's Recipe.


STEP -1
  • First, I will mix rice powder with lukewarm water little by little and add salt to taste. It should be mixed well because it is a technique to beautify pitha, which has to be done very well.

  • Next, I'll take a fry pan. Brush a tablespoon of soybean oil on it.

STEP -3
  • I will add a spoonful of liquefied rice powder to the fry pan. One thing to keep in mind is that size of the pitha should be round.

STEP -4
  • Then steam it for 2 minutes.

STEP -5
  • Then, lift the lid and put an egg in it. Then I will sprinkle tomato paste, pepper paste, and just a little salt for an egg.

STEP -6
  • Then steam again for 5 to 6 minutes.

STEP -7
  • After that, when I see that the egg on top of me is steamed well, I will remove the egg Chitoi Pitha from the frypan.

Chitoi Pitha has an essential tradition in the food culture of Bangladesh from the context of Bengali civilization. Egg Chitoi Pitha is how to make the pitha more exciting and attractive through the ages while maintaining the touch of that tradition.

Yes, of course. Eggs are beneficial for making chitois, which is what it takes to make a Chitoi. In the olden days, villages used to make clay pots or Chitois. It still makes it. But with a touch of exclusivity, clay or iron grates are now available in the city to make Egg Chitoi Pitha. Besides, the townspeople also make frypans like the one I made.
