Where I live and come from the province of Aceh, to be precise in the city of Lhokseumawe we have our own customs and culture when celebrating or even holding a wedding.

Although in this era of digitalization, customs regarding the procedures for carrying out weddings are still being carried out in social life, and this is a good activity as an effort to preserve culture and customs which are relics of the ancestors. Because the truth is, the procedures and customs are not just a ceremonial order, but contain many elements of the philosophy of goodness in living life.

There are several traditions in holding weddings in Aceh, namely as follows:

1. intat lintoe (Between the groom)
This traditional procession is an activity carried out by the family of a man and a group of people who take the *** of the groom to the bride's house, after the marriage approval

For brides, the custom applies "intat dara baroe (between the bride)" to the groom's house.

2. Tueng Linto (Welcoming the Groom)
At the bride's house, the family and the community are waiting for the arrival of the groom who is delivered by his entourage. There the groom is welcomed by the bride's family. This also applies to the bride where there is also a procession, namely tueng dara baro (receiving the bride) at the groom's family residence

3. Welcoming the bride and groom with traditional dances or reciprocated rhymes

The procession of welcoming the bride or groom usually begins with a traditional dance which is a symbol of respect as well as a welcome greeting to the bride and her family who come. This is a form of custom where the people of Aceh are famous for their hospitality in honoring guests.

4. Gifts from the groom to the bride
For the people of Aceh, Hampers or items brought by the groom's family are a must where it symbolizes the sincerity of giving gifts to the bride.

6. Beautiful and magnificent wedding decorations for the bride and groom
decor in a wedding party is an important element and for the people of Aceh, the decoration is called the aisle. As for the typical Aceh *** wedding ceremony, usually those used in weddings have traditional elements that are thick with bright colors, such as dominant yellow, red or green. It is also decorated with golden knick-knacks that symbolize glory and luxury.
