Hello friends of Steemit Travel, this post is my participation in the ongoing contest in the Steemit Travel community.

I'm so glad I can share a post about one of the cultural heritages or historical places in my area. As we know, Aceh was once colonized by Japanese, British, Dutch and Portuguese colonizers. Each of these countries they left their own history in this aceh country. Their relics are used as tourist attractions, museums and so on. One of the historical heritage of the Japanese people is a cave.

The cave that was built as their defense bull has now become one of the historical sites that is used as a tourist spot. Like one of the Japanese relics in the lhokseumawe city area. The cave was named by the locals with the name GOA Japan / Bukit Goa Jepang Lhokseumawe / Bukit Goa Jepang Lhokseumawe. Because this is one of the relics of the Japanese colonizers when they colonized Aceh.

The cave, which was built at an altitude of approximately 200 meters above sea level, is located in Blang Panyang, Muara Satu sub-district, Lhokseumawe City. This cave was once only visited by local residents, but at this time this destination has been visited by tourists from outside who want to see the relics of the Japanese colonialists. The cave, which is named the Japanese cave, has existed since 1942 during the colonial period before Indonesia became independent. According to sources guarding this location, there are seven holes built by Japanese soldiers to get to the cave.

Three of the holes were built as defense holes and the other four were holes for Japanese soldiers to escape from attacks. We can enter the cave if we dare this is only recommended for those who are brave. Because there are some residents who say in the cave the air is a bit mystical. Still in the Japanese Cave area which is not far from the location of the cave that was built there is a garden that the Acehnese call it ["Taman Ngieng Jioh".

"Ngieng Jioh Park" is perfect for us to take pictures because the park is on a hill so we will get beautiful scenery pictures in our photo moments. From the top of the hill, Goa Japan, we can enjoy beautiful scenery with fresh air. We can see the beauty of the vast sea from the top of the hill and we can also see the city of Lhokseumawe from above. In this location there are also public facilities and a flower garden.

In the afternoon, this location is also very suitable to see the sunset. From above this height we can also see the gas factory and port in Lhokseumawe. There are many tourist attractions that have historical value in Aceh. So we as acehians must be able to preserve the culture and tourism that we have in order to stay awake and be seen by many people how beautiful this country of Aceh is.

Aceh, which is not only known for its excellent religious values, culture, customs, tribes, languages, lush forests, many mines, wide seas, long coastal lands, but Aceh is also known to be rich in tourism and local wisdom. Let's protect this historic place together and we manage it well which can have an impact on economic support from the tourism sector. That's my post about one of the historical places in Lhokseumawe City, hopefully this post can give you information and education. Thank you for reading and supporting my post.

This is pretty interesting to know about. I really didn't know that Aceh was under the control of a Japanese authority once. For sure I've learned something new friend. Thank you for this. Regards.
