Travel to Ibeno Beach

Greetings to you all dear fellow travellers in the prestigious steem travel community, hope my coming your way through this medium meets you all in good health, and if so, glory be to the Almighty in the highest.

Every travel have a purpose, lesson, challenge, cost implications as well as the expected outcome.

My travel to Ibeno and the beach was unplanned. It was as a result of the fallout of a supply of timber to a building site. Shortly after the woods were delivered at the building site, and the driver and off-loaders left Ibeno and back to Uyo, I received a call from the site engineer that I should come and return some of the wood. I was trouble and asked 'why?', and he told me that the woods do not meet the required specifications.
Since I was handling another project at hand at the moment of that faithful Saturday evening, I quickly put a call across to my business partner whom we were working together and told him the story I heard. He too was disturbed and then asked me, when do the say we should come? I told him tomorrow being Sunday.

Well, as a matter of fact, it was an unplaned travel. That evening, right there, we have to suspend all what we were handling and reshuffled our priority. We got to the ATM, withdrew some cash for fuelling the vehicle. Then my partner told me, go home, get rest and early morning tomorrow we move. I oblique and we parted.

Soon as I got home, my partner called again, and when I picked, he told me; guy you have to come over my place and spend the night and tomorrow we move. I asked him curiously, why the change in plan? His answer was: 'soon as I told my wife of what has happen and our intended movement tomorrow, she said, that should be an opportunity to take the children along for an escortion and showed them Ibeno beach.'

At first it did not go down well with me, but when he told me that he had long wanted to take the family for a tour of the Ibeno beach, and that if this is the opportunity, he will not want to miss it since our meeting with those people will not take the whole day. Well, I could not ague with him, and then I told him I am coming.

I dress up, got my supply document handy and I left to my partner's home. We talked things out that night, put some arrangement for the children in place for the early hour movement. On the children's part, they were over excited that they will be seeing the Ibeno beach they have been hearing about tomorrow.

It is early Sunday morning, and the time is 4.00am, we woke up, have the morning worship, and every one is now busy dressing up. By 5.30am we left Uyo for Ibeno. After some hours drive, by exactly 8.25am our vehicle pulled up at the building site gate in Ibeno. I called the site engineer and told him that we are at the site. Few minutes later, he showed up. The building site shared the parametre fence with the Ibeno Local Government Area Health Center, Mpanak

His point was that the size of 2 x 4 x 18 is not complete in size and length as well as the 2 x 2 x 12cm. After an hour plus of discursion, explaining the reason why the short in the length, he saw the reason and the wood was finally accepted and the waybill/invoice signed.

At this point, I am more than relieve off the heavy burden of thinking how I will be able to reconvey the wood back to Uyo. There after, we exchange pleasantly and the second journey to the beach.

At the beach
We arrive the beach some minutes after 10a.m. The chilly weather greeted us as we park the car at the car park and walk in to the beach bank. There we met some serving NYSC coup members already in the beach.

The coldness of the weather couple with the chill water did not allow the children to bath in the water.

After some time spent showing them round the bank of the beach, drinking some cocoanut water, taking pictures, eating, etc, we finally return to the vehicle for onward movement back to Uyo.

Now the children are satisfied though tyre, they have something to share with the friends in school.

Thank you for stopping by.
