The Ibom e-library is a State owned facility located along Ibrahim Babangida Avenue, it is locally known as the e-library. The facility was Established on the 25^the September, 2007. I remember around 2012 taking a batch of ICT students from Bright Stars College to the e-Library after the server in Bright Stars' ICT lab failed in the middle of an examination. The school paid an equivalent of 615.4 Steem at 130 Naira per Steem to use the facility for the examination. Today some parts of the library has offices for lease, fully air-conditioned with constant electricity and minimal furniture at about 400 Steem per month (negotiable)
The facility still houses a physical library and is transmitting a Virtual Library which you can subscribe to.

The Idongesit Nkanga State Secretariat is the state' main secretariat complex located along Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Avenue in Uyo, this facility was built by a former Governor of the state, his excellency (retired Air Commodore) Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga And was named after him.
Architect Obong Victor Atah during his tenure as Governor of the state from 1999 to 2007 added some architectural touch to the structure, merging the the two raws of five building into an architectural structure that has become one of the iconic structures in the city of Uyo. Now we are at the entrance of the Federal Science and Technology College Uyo in AkwaIbom State, this school is located along Ukana Offor street. That same location housed Aka Community secondary and due to close proximity to other schools like Four Towns Secondary and the frequency of clashes, Aka Community Secondary School was moved to a new location. And the space was occupied by an all girls technical school, which latter became the Federal Girls Science and Technology College Uyo.
The school aims at equipping the girl child with the needed knowledge and skill to make her selfreliance and confidence. With a combination of basic, pre- professional science and vocational education, the school is making skilled artisans that can fill a lot of manpower needs.

Along Udo-Udoma Avenue in Uyo, we have a that has in it's display a number of artifact that are rich in Ibibio symbolism and history.
In it's gallery there are pictures of some of our past leaders who have had significant impact on the development of the Ibibio people as a nation, it also display some sculptures that are of traditional significance like the "Iso Ekpo" head of masquerade,
and some local farm implements, depiction of the Ibibio people's rich cultural diversity

The Ekpene Ukim Market is far off from the town, it is a market that is operated in a weekly rotation bases but each time the market is selling, you see this overkilled vehicles transporting the women with their goods from the market. You can tell how stressed the vehicle is from the look of it's rear tires. Though this picture was captured in Town, the real action takes place far off at Ekpene Ukim.

We really have a lot of party butterflies in the city of Uyo and for that reason we equally have a large number of event centers around the town. VIMPY is one is such event centers in town and don't get mixed up with WIMPY which is another sport where you can meed movie stars when they are in town.
VIMPY is a lot more classic, the event center is often busy with events and a lodge is being attached to it.

The University of Uyo Teaching Hospital once was the highest level of public health care in town, then the service was less expensive but today it is as expensive as some privately owned hospitals but still has the advantage of having highly experienced health consultants working in the teaching hospital. Another problem with this hospital is the time you spend there before you are attended to. You would have to be very early about 0700 and you will meet those who came by 0500 to wait.

This is the structure at the center of the roundabout along Abak Road, secretariat roundabout. The structure depicts the Ekpe masquerade with it's pose and staff. A symbol of governance and authority fittingly placed at the entrance of the secretariat which is where the state government is operated.
