Have you ever climbed a mountain? describe your experience.
I never experience climbing the highest mountain but I always climbed a low-peak mountain since I was living in a mountainous part of our city. Every week I will walk in the mountains to visit my family who lived at the top of the mountain.
But mountain climbing is not an easy task for every person who wants to experience reaching the high mountain. We need to be physically fit and energetic so that we can do hiking and climbing on the cliff rock formation of the mountain.
Since I like sports,
Mountain climbing for me is a kind of sport of reaching the highest peak of the mountainous area for our physical activity which includes hiking, rock climbing, and traversing slopes in a cliff area. We must have enough skills, strength, balance, courage, and endurance for experiencing the grandeur of nature. It is a big achievement for me if I can achieve to reach the highest peak of my first-ever dream mountain which I want to experience.
If God gives me a chance to climb a famous Mountain in the world, I will prepare for it and I want to make sure that I was physically fit to do this task and I will make sure for myself that I will survive for challenges upon reaching the top of the mountain. I'm pretty sure that it was my big achievement in life when I survive this challenging part which I want to tackle.
Which mountain will you climb next? What sensations and passions do you want to find there?
As a beginner in this field of mountain climbing, I want to climb a mountain that is located in my beloved country Philippines. Our country has numerous mountains to climb for adventurous people like me. I want to climb first the easiest mountain in our place named Osmeña Peak in Dalaguete Cebu Philippines. It is the highest mountain peak in our place with an elevation of 1013 meters above sea level which is located in Mantalongon Dalaguete Cebu.
This Osmeña Peak has cliffs and undulating rock appearances with the blue sky and sea level as a background when you reach the top.
Once you will reach the beginning of the trail, you can walk on your own to the peak. You can experience the trip with pleasant spectacular views which we can enjoy the breeze blowing at the top of the mountain especially when you visit the place during sunrise.
Mountain climbing is the most challenging experience that can ignite my sensation and passion because it is adventurous for me to experience to have this sport. Through mountain climbing, I can make my body physically fit and strong which is a good sport and exercise for me to become more healthy.
What challenges might you find to climb the mountain of your dreams? how will you find a solution for that?
Mountain climbing needs physical preparation like walking, jogging, and doing some physical activities so that you have enough oxygen to do the task. Climbers need to bring extra shirts, food, medicine and especially bring more clean water.
The altitude of the mountain is quite a problem because when you climb as early as a foggy mountain during sunrise. It is better to do mountain climbing in Osmeña Peak during the afternoon. It is risky for people who have hypertension issues and some health problems.
Most of all we must check the weather conditions before we start our climb to the mountain because this is the biggest challenge most mountaineers meet along their journey.
Before we set a schedule for mountain climbing make sure that you have a tour guide or a guidebook to the path going to the top of the mountain. So that you will not encounter some difficulties upon reaching the top and also you will be secure to climb the mountain easily.
What did you prepare to be able to climb the mountain of your dreams?
I will long preparation to climb the mountain of my dream which can help me to fulfill the mountain of my dreams.
First, I will do some training and exercise so that I will be physically fit to have mountain climbing.
Second, I will save money for my dreams since the area needs me enough money for my travel since it was located a few miles away from my hometown.
Third, I will buy enough equipment that I will use for my climbing. This includes my clothes, water bottle, Backpack bag for my belongings, and a container for my food so that I will help also the place healthy.
Lastly, I will hire a tour guide so that it will be easy for me to reach the peak of the mountain and enjoy the beauty beyond our expectations.
Mountain climbing is one of the greatest dreams in my life I want to fulfill. But I must first secure myself that I was physically and mentally fit to do this activity in my life. I'm just prepared for everything I need before I start my steps until I reach the top.
