About My Journey Back To Abakaliki (14-01-2023)
Greetings to all my lovely and wonderful Steemians in this great community of Steemit Travel! Indeed, today is a great day in my life, for God has done it again for me and for you, as we are all counted among the living. In fact, I am very grateful to God the Almighty for the journey mercy he granted to me on January 13, 2023, as I traveled far from Cross to Abakaliki, where I am today.

How my journey started and ended is what I have to share in this post. My journey started right from Ikom Barracks, where I worked up very early and prepared myself, then took my bags outside the barracks and entered a vehicle that took me to a park known as Mbok Junction.

I arrived at Mbok Junction around 11 a.m. and waited for over 2 hours for the vehicle to fill with other passengers. While waiting, many passengers came, including myself, and we then entered the vehicle and began heading to Abakaliki.

If not God, who knows what can happen in the next few minutes? As the vehicle that carried 7 passengers, including myself, was seriously driving to Abakaliki, the driver was stopped at an immigration checkpoint for a search.

As we stopped at the immigration checkpoint, we all came out of the vehicle for a proper search, and the instructions that were given were that only those who had their ID cards (means of identification) could be allowed to enter the vehicle. When it got to my turn, I brought out my voter card and national ID to show the immigration office.
At some point, two people couldn't identify where they were coming from. Part of it was that he truly spoke the truth by saying he is a Cameroonian and was called for a job since he is a mechanic. The second guy lied that he is a Nigerian, and when asked his state of origin and local government, he couldn't speak nor identify himself, and while searching his bags for all his documents, the immigration officers got to know the truth that he is not a Nigerian but a Cameroonian.

At that point, they beat the hell out of him. We spent over 30 minutes pleading with the officers on his behalf, and in the end he was allowed to enter the vehicle. After everything, we all entered the vehicle, and the driver drove us straight to Abakaliki.

We arrived inside Abakaliki town around 3:45 p.m., where I then stopped and hired an okada rider who took me to my appointment. Reaching my apartment, I quickly went to a store and bought bread and some biscuits for the children in my compound, after which I began cleaning my room.

After doing much domestic work, I then went and bought food along my street at around 8:20 p.m. and ate it as my dinner before going to bed.
Two hours is more or less the space of time enough to enjoy the trip itself. Hope you had a very tasty bread by the way.🍞 Have a new brand of upcoming week in this opportunity friend and thank you for sharing your article here. Regards.
Thank you for your warmly support.
