The Tradition of Sacrifice and Stay in Touch in My Village (Cibrek Tunong Village)
Hello steemit travel friends, how are you today? I hope everyone is in good physical and spiritual health and always blessed. On this occasion I want to share the tradition of Sacrifice and Staying in touch
"Allaahu Akbaru Allahu Akbaru Allahu Akbar, Laa Ilaaha Illallaahu Wallaahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Wa Lillaahil Hamd" Happy Eid Al-Adha 1443 Hijriah. May we all be able to eliminate our sense of ego, hatred, lust and prejudice against fellow human beings.
On Sunday (09/07/2022) after the Eid al-Adha prayer at the mosque located in the Syamtalira Aron district, North Aceh-Indonesia. I immediately made a pilgrimage to the graves of my grandparents after that I immediately rushed home. I put on a robe and a cap and then apologized to my parents. Then rushed to your brother's house which is located at the end of the hall (cibrek tunong village).
There, in the backyard of my brother's house, many young men and old men had gathered with machetes, axes and knives. We are here to work together to slaughter the sacrificial animals and distribute them. After that the slaughterers began to attract the sacrificial animals to be slaughtered. The cow that is going to be slaughtered is laid down, its four legs are tied and it is placed next to its left rib so that it is easy to slaughter.
The slaughterer faces himself towards the Qibla as well as the cow to be slaughtered. The slaughterer cuts the veins and esophagus located on the left and right of the animal's neck until it breaks. When slaughtering cows, the slaughterers read a series of prayers and added with takbir "Allahuakbar Allahuakbar Allahuakbar" with and followed by all.
After being slaughtered, it is followed by peeling the skin of the cow. In each cow we distribute 4 people to peel the skin and separate all the meat. I was in charge of bringing all the beef and beef bones to your front yard. There was also a young man in charge of cutting and piling meat and bones.
This has become a tradition in Cibrek Tunong Village, after the Eid al-Adha prayer will be followed by the activity of slaughtering sacrificial animals. So, to stay in touch with close relatives and friends after this activity. For Eid al-Adha this time, my brother slaughtered 5 cows and later they will be distributed equally to anyone who has a coupon. Two days before Eid al-Adha, my brother's party had distributed around 250 to people who really deserved the qurbani meat and the coupons were exchanged when they took the qurbani meat.
A little review of the term Kurban based on what I have learned and know. Sacrifice in terms of fiqh science and means an act of worship to get closer to Allah SWT. Slaughtering of sacrificial animals is carried out once a year on Eid al-Adha. The term Udhiyah applies in Arabic with the meaning of sacrificial slaughterer. Slaughter of sacrificial animals can be done on cows, goats, buffalo and camels. A True Story of Prophet Ibrahim AS who wanted to slaughter his own son, Prophet Ismail AS, then By the will of Allah SWT, Prophet Ismail AS was replaced with a large animal.
Piles of meat and bones are placed on a black mat and one by one the meat and bones are put together and then put in a plastic bag. Everyone who wants to take the sacrificial meat must be accompanied by a coupon given by my brother two days ago. The slaughter of the sacrificial animals is completed until the afternoon, usually before the Asr prayer.
Thus my short post about a tradition that is indeed carried out every Eid al-Adha. Hope you enjoy reading it. Thanks to everyone who has supported me. Send regards for success
