Valley of the Sphinxes | Velo Veronese ( Verona) - Italy | Club 100
Hello fellow travellers of Steemit Travel!! How are you? I hope everything is going well, unfortunately I have been absent for a few days lately, but I always read your posts. Now I return with a post about an exploration I did yesterday, in a very special place, in the middle of nature.
In some of the articles I have already written here, I have often spoken of a park that is about twenty kilometres from my home, a regional park, and which is being developed, because it contains special features, such as the valley of the sphinxes, which is located in velo veronese, a municipality with only a few inhabitants.
To get to this place, you have to walk along a small path, in fact you can't get there by car, by the way, at this time of year this path is very beautiful because of course there is the characteristic foliage, by now in Italy we are in late autumn.
One must also pass, a small district of houses, these characteristic houses were built hundreds of years ago in stone, but are now used as holiday homes, because there used to be several quarries here, some are even still active for marble extraction.
I also took advantage of it, to take some pictures, since in any case autumn as a season, I really like it because as you can see, the colors change a lot and create beautiful shades.
Among other things, there were also cows, because the grazing season is continuing here, the climate is still quite hot in fact there were more than 20 degrees, an exaggerated thing for the season.
After about half an hour of walking, I found myself in front of these monolithic stones, with very particular shapes that according to some in some cases remind a little of the sphinx.
This is why this valley got this name, and let's say that these stones are really special, most likely they were worked by the wind and water consumed over time.
Don't expect anything so impressive but still make you think.
According to some scholars, these limestone monoliths undergo the erosive action of water and wind that shapes them and creates these somewhat particular shapes.
However beyond this particular point of interest, I come here because I also like walking in the middle of nature, I am lucky to have this park close to home.
I hope you found my article interesting and I hope I have made you discover a new place in my country that is definitely worth a visit.
I give you an appointment at the next article and I wish you a beautiful day

Woowwww @hotspotitaly ese paisaje se ve genial. Tiene pinta de que en invierno debe hacer mucho frío. Como siempre genial post.
