Hello fellow travelers, who daily share your beautiful posts here, know that I read them with great pleasure and almost always try to respond. Today, I would like to share with you a place that I consider an absolute must-visit if you happen to be in Italy and want to explore the city of Verona, a city famous worldwide for the story of Romeo and Juliet, made famous by William Shakespeare.
Today, I want to tell you about the marvelous Giusti Gardens, an enchanting place full of history. I hope you have the opportunity to explore this wonderful location. The gardens are located near the city center and are easily reachable on foot or by public transportation. In fact, several urban transport lines pass right in front of these gardens. If you are passionate about Renaissance gardens or historical architecture, this is definitely a place you cannot miss during your stay in Verona.
Let me briefly tell you the history of the gardens, although at the end of this post, you will find all the references to plan a visit and delve deeper into this place. The gardens were created in 1580 and are currently among the most beautiful Renaissance gardens in Europe. As you can see from the photos, the garden unfolds on terraces that climb the hill, offering a breathtaking view of the city of Verona.
Within these gardens, there are many points of interest, including a parterre, a hedge maze, and numerous statues and fountains dating back to different historical periods. You can also notice this from the photos. Moreover, this location is used by numerous photographers as a wedding set, but not only.
If I remember correctly, the main attraction of the garden, namely the hedge maze, was reconstructed after 1945 following the bombings that unfortunately struck the city of Verona. Currently, it offers a fun and stimulating experience for visitors of all ages, and I must say that its meticulous maintenance certainly makes it the most fascinating attraction of the garden.
As I mentioned at the beginning, the Giusti Gardens offer a series of panoramic terraces from which you can admire the city of Verona and the surrounding hills. These are viewpoints, in my opinion, perfect for capturing memorable photographs but also for enjoying moments of tranquility amidst nature.
Inside the complex, there is a palace called Palazzo Giusti, which is another very interesting element for visitors. Personally, I have never had the opportunity to visit it because I have never paid the ticket to enter there as well, but inside, you can see the life of the lords who built these gardens in the 16th century.
In my opinion, for tourists who wish to visit the Giusti Gardens, it is advisable to dedicate at least a couple of hours to fully enjoy the beauty and atmosphere of this garden. I would also like to know your opinion on the photos in the comments. Unfortunately, I have noticed that many tourists who come to Verona are not familiar with this attraction, unlike others like the Arena and Juliet's House.
I hope you found this post interesting, and I also hope that you liked the photos. We will definitely see each other in the next post, and I wish you a good day, hoping that you too can share your experiences and travel adventures here in the community.
Goodbye, everyone!

I loved mazes as PC games when I was a kid, so I can't imagine to get lost in a real one inside of those gardens that I'm sure they're the most ancient I've ever heard before: 1580! Such incredible 😯
