Hello fellow travellers! I have been absent here these days, because I am very busy with a new project, in fact for a few days now I have become a volunteer for the Fai (ITALIAN ENVIRONMENTAL FOUNDATION) for those who do not know it practically, it is an association that manages a lot of cultural assets in Italy, but also natural assets, the purpose of this fund is to restore monumental and architectural assets and to make them accessible to people.
It does this through volunteers and those who join this fund by paying money annually, but every so often funds are collected to recover important assets in our community.

One of the projects Fai is working on is to recover even small mountain villages, which in any case represent the history of Italy, and one of these is certainly Colcever, located in Val di Zoldo in the Belluno Dolomites.
I really liked it as a village, for its stone-built houses and its completely wooden barns, which unfortunately are falling into disrepair over the years.
It is unfortunate that after several years, practically no one lives in this hamlet any more, only a few people come here in the summer months to escape the heat of the plains, somehow and fortunately they manage to give continuity to the life of this hamlet.
Incidentally, the thing that impressed me most about this village is its small 18th-century church, which is very pretty inside and has been restored over time so that even today in the summer months those who come here on holiday use it for religious services.
From my point of view, these places need to be promoted in terms of tourism, because they represent uniqueness in Italy, and thanks to tourists they can stay alive.
This place is so named because it means Deer Hill, most likely there are many deer in these parts, but unfortunately I did not see a single one.
Of course, as you can see from the pictures, this hamlet is in real need of restoration, because the risk, as the person in charge of the development of this place told me, is that with the arrival of the snow, the weight could cause some roofs to collapse.
Incidentally, I also did a short trek in the area, and I found a beautiful little lake, with a waterfall by the way, so I suggested to the area contact person that we really should enhance this place in some way, and the only way from my point of view is to make it known through social media by travel bloggers, in fact we have already got in touch with someone.
