Tour To Cultural Heritage | Florence, a mini-tour!

Hello all friends of Steemit Travel

With this post I am very happy to take part in the contest of the week, and I want to take you on a tour of a city that is very important to me and that I think almost everyone in the world knows, and that is Florence.

A few weeks ago I did a little one-day tour and I would like to tell you about it here, also to let you know the points that I think are worth visiting, especially if you only have one day at your disposal.

The first thing I recommend is to visit the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the most important monument in Florence, let us remember that this is the third largest church in the world.

The visit to the cathedral is free of charge, but you can only do it when there are no religious services, otherwise you can buy a pass that is valid for three days to visit e.g. the baptistery, Giotto's bell tower or Brunelleschi's dome.

It is beautiful to watch from under Brunelleschi's dome, a recently restored masterpiece.

Below are a few photos I took from above Giotto's bell tower, a really interesting visit, but I warn you that there are 398 steps to climb to reach the final destination, so for those with heart problems I advise against the visit, if you don't want to risk a heart attack, and above all the tunnel that leads up is very narrow.

Then I recommend you move to Piazza della Signoria where you can visit Palazzo Vecchio and then if you stay in Florence for a few days, you definitely cannot miss a visit to one of the most important museums in the world: The Uffizi.

Here you can see one of the most beautiful paintings, my personal favourite, Botticelli's Venus, a true masterpiece of art.
It only takes a day to visit this museum, because it is so big, below I leave you some information to book your visit, otherwise you risk a 3-hour queue.

Next to the Uffizi museum, there is another very important museum only the gallerie dell'accademia where Donatello's David is housed and well preserved, surely one of Italy's most representative monuments in the world.

Then you can pass by Ponte Vecchio, a very characteristic bridge in Florence with many shops, and it was there that I stopped for my lunch break with something truly typical Florentine, the legendary schiacciata dell'antico vinaio, you absolutely cannot miss it, by the way, with 5 euro you also eat a lot.

Last thing you can and must see, but if you like to take panoramic photos, a very interesting point from where to do it is Piazzale Michelangelo, I went there in the evening and I was able to take some photos of Florence by night, but many people go there to see some beautiful sunsets, in short it is really a very romantic place, with the city of Florence as a backdrop.

I hope you enjoyed my story, I tried to summarise it in a few lines, but there is so much to visit in Florence, if I find the time I will definitely do another post on this beautiful city.
