I'm taking my cousin on a little hike!
Hello all friends
I hope you are having a good time, yesterday I wanted to hike together with my cousin, because I am babysitting him at this time, because his parents are on vacation.
So I thought I would take him to a place in nature, I took him for the first time to see the BUS DE REFOS, a karst cavity that formed naturally many years ago.
It is located in Mount Grappa, in the San Liberale valley, we are practically in the province of Vicenza, I left the location below the photo, In case you want to hike this place..
From my point of view, I think these caves also served as a shelter during the Great War, in fact this area was affected by this tragic event.
On our way we also saw the Sacellum of Valla San Liberale, basically a capital, to honor the saint San Vitale, a Byzantine saint, this was built in 1920, also to remember the dead of the Great War.
Since we were in the area, we thought we would take a tour of a place that I had never seen, a very naturalistic place that my cousin, a very lively child who likes to jump around here and there, would surely enjoy.
We visited the Astenego vegetation garden, which would basically be a regional nursery, where species of trees are grown and then brought into the wild. This place basically came into existence after the war, because most of the forests had been lost around here, so it was decided to replant trees.
How cute they made a little house for all the insects, To enter you pay 3 euros, for adults while children up to 14 years old get in free , with time it has been partly turned into a botanical garden.
In the above photo, is a reconstruction of the houses that were built here, at that time wood was used, as it was a very abundant material here.
Unfortunately, the lavender was already at the end of flowering, but nevertheless it still exuded a good fragrance.
Of course my cousin enjoyed the maze, yes because inside they created this little attraction to entertain the little ones.
Thank you for reading to the end of my post, I hope you found it interesting, these are little known places but worth discovering and then they are very child-friendly as you could see.
Bye and see you next time!!!
Keep motivated to protect our home!🛡🌎🌍🌏
hello friend .,,,can i contact you for knowing more about you ?
These caves are pretty interesting and enormous. The place is having history due to that war then, but it's looking very peaceful and beautiful to spend a whole day to enjoy it. Great post 📝
