Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 9 Week 5 - What Mountain Do You Want To Climb?
Hello everyone! I'm @abdullahw2 from Pakistan. Warm welcome to my post. How are you all? I hope that you will be doing well by the grace of Almighty Allah. I'm also fine. Today I'm here to participate in this Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 9 Week 5 in the Steemit Travel community. The topic of this challenge is What Mountain Do You Want To Climb?. So let's start without any more delay of time.
My answer to this question is NO I have never climbed a mountain. This is because climbing a mountain is not an easy task. Two years ago I got a chance of climbing a mountain but I didn't do so because at that time I was not mentally prepared. The another reason is that that was a snowy mountain named Mushk Puri Top which located in abbotabad district of Khyber pakhtunkhwa Pakistan. There the temperature was very low which was about -4°C and suddenly snow fall started. And I was too much afraid of climbing the mountain so all other my group mates went at the top of that mountain and I waited for them sitting in the hotel.
Actually I have a heartiest desire of climbing a mountain since my childhood. Still I'm feeling regret that I have missed a chance of climbing a mountain. But now I will never miss a chance of climbing a mountain. Allah Almighty has bestowed Pakistan with so many beautiful mountains. The northern areas of Pakistan are surrounded with mountains. The mountain which I want to climb next is K2 which is located in Pakistan. It is second highest mountain in the world after Mount Everest with a height of 8611m.
It is always my dream of visiting beautiful places of my country and climbing a mountain is also one of them. Because climbing a mountain will be a new experience for me. Climbing at the K2 mountain I can explore so many because it is surrounded by glaciers, vast snow fields some huge peaks. This is a sense of natural beauty. By climbing at the peak of that mountain I can see the clouds and sky more closely.
As we all know that climbing a mountain is not easy for everyone so it is no doubt that my journey of reaching at the top of k2 mountain will be very challenging for me also I have heard that so many people have died while climbing a mountain. In my point of view the following challenges I should face and I have also find their solutions.
First of all climbing At the peak of K2 mountain is not a one day journey so it will require a many days and during that days I will keep some dry fruits as a food with me.
As we know K2 is a snowy mountain and consists of glaciers so there temperature will be extremely low. For keeping myself hot and for maintainNance of my body temperature I will keep some leather jacket , gloves and boots with me.
It is also a risk of injuries there so for that purpose I will keep a small first aid kit with me.
Normally oxygen problems occurs when we move towards the altitude so for enough supply of oxygen I will keep oxygen cylinder with me.
To overcome dehydration I will keep water in a water bottle with me.
I will also keep two sticks with me for maintainNance of balance while climbing a mountain.
Honestly speaking still I don't have prepared anything for that journey. But in future whenever I will get a chance to fulfill that dream then I will fully prepare myself before starting that journey. First of all I will make money to fulfill my dream because the my dream mountain is too far from me so I will require money for traveling. Before starting my journey towards mountain I will prepare myself both physically and mentally. I will also seek some guidance from expert mountaineers. I will also keep all my necessary things with me while traveling.
Climbing a mountain is a adventurous journey for everyone because during that journey we can explore new things. So friends that was my entry about that challenge .I hope that you will like it. Well you didn't experience the mountain climbing all the you visited Mushk Puri Top in khyber Pakhtunkha well it would be really nice but as you told temperature was -4 and snow fall started how beautiful it was to see mountains beauty in such a lovely weather just mind blowing. But you are right climbing is not so easy nor everyone can do it.
But i wish you climb your dream mountain with safety.

Ooh what a pleasure to see you there ☺️. You said well it was a beautiful sight when snowfall started but in the snow my feel were totally freezed. Believe me I took 4 cups of tea in 30 minutes sitting there 😂. Overall it was a wonderful experience for me. I wished to go there again.

There are many mountains in the world, big and small, almost all of which have been climbed at least once, but there are also many big mountains that are unclimbable. My climbing experience is very little.

K2 is such a golden goal for Pakistani people. This is the second time I hear about this mountain in particular. I guess would be such a great experience to climb it, as much as the case of Everest. Thanks for sharing in Twitter too. Have a nice day.
K2 is a beautiful mountain but looks challenging, every climb must have its dangers or challenges. Hopefully you can realize your desire to climb the mountain.

Yes it is no doubt that climbing a mountain like K2 will be very difficult to me but I will try my best to take all precautionary measures before starting my journey.
