#BURNSTEEM25 | Participate in environmental conservation education that focuses on protecting and saving Sumatran Orangutan wildlife
Hello my freind.
Good evening and warm regards. Hopefully the environment remains sustainable and sustainable for our next generation. After a long absence. This time I return to greet all friends on my beloved steemit platform.
I just finished my conservation education, specifically related to saving and protecting wild animals (Sumatra orangutans).
Orangutans or commonly called mawas are one of the great apes of Asia that live in Indonesia, especially the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan. With a height of about 1.25 - 1.5 meters and he has a distinctive thick red-brown fur. Another feature is that he has arms that are longer than his legs.
This conservation activity took place at the Gunung Leuser National Park Conservation Resort (TNGL) in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. Gunung Leuser National Park is a national park area designated as a nature conservation area that has native ecosystems, managed with a zoning system used for research, scientific, and educational purposes. Gunung Leuser National Park is located in the provinces of Aceh and North Sumatra. Initially it had an area of 1,094,692 hectares. However, its area continues to decline due to land conversion and deforestation.
TNGL as part of the Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra (TRHS) was included in the list of World Heritage Sites in 2004. It is one of the largest flora and fauna protected areas in Southeast Asia. Leuser plays an important role as one of the lungs of the world. Within the national park area live four of the world's rarest Key Animals, namely the Sumatran tiger, Sumatran rhino, Sumatran elephant and Sumatran orangutan.
Gunung Leuser National Park is a natural laboratory forest that is very rich in biodiversity. This national park is a habitat for most of the fauna, ranging from mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates.
There are 380 species of birds and 205 species of mammals there. Importantly, some of its fauna are classified as critically endangered (Critical Endarged), such as the Sumatran orangutan (Pongo abelii), the Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris), the Sumatran rhino (Dicerorhinus sumatrensis), tapir (Tapirus indicus) and elephants. Sumatra (Elephas maximus sumatranus).
Now. Through this article, I invite all of us, Let's protect and save the Leuser forest and its ecosystem to support life support systems and sustain life. (sustainable living)

I really like writing about nature protection, especially what you do not only write but take action to show everyone that there are still people who care about protecting nature.
