Steem Japan Community Photo Contest: “What Makes You Happy?” | Nomination from @sampu | Smile in my mom's face makes me happy

After my dad left for his heavenly abode, my mom becomes very much depressed. They had a married life of 40+ years, hence, this depression is natual. My dad was a professor while mom was a librarian by profession. Both of them were fond of traveling. They had plan of visiting many places post their retirement from their service.

Hence, me and my younger brother decided to fulfill mom's wish of traveling, even in absence of dad. Mom has never traveled in flight. Hence we decided to opt for flight for our first family trip after dad's death.

Our first trip was in October 2017. This is us outside the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata (CCU)-

We reached Bisakhapattanam and enjoyed Vizag sea beach, Araku valley, Bora Caves.

On November 2017, we visited Benaras during Deb-dipabali. In that day the entire Benaras city and river-side gets decorated with lights.

Next year, on October 2018, we had a trip to Amritsar Golden temple, Kajjiar hill station, Dalhousie hill station, Macleodgunj hill station and Delhi for places with historic importance.

On December 2018, we visited Konark to attend Konark Dance Festival.

On February 2019, we went to Manas National Park.

On March 2019, we visited to Kurseong hill station, Takdah hill station.

On September 2019, we went to Murshidabad for places with historic importance.

On November 2019, we visited to Chennai sea beach, Rameshwaram temple, Dhanuskodi sea beach, Kanyakumari view point, Minakshi temple at Madurai, Pondicherry sea beach and Auroville Ashram.

On March 2020, we had a trip to Bandhabgarh National Park.

Everytime when I look into her smile, it makes me happy. Looking forward to take her to new places once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
