Meiji Shrine

We were walking from Keio Plaza Hotel to Meiji Jingu Shrine. The Temple is not so far from our hotel, Keio Plaza Hotel, Shinjuku, is only about 3 KM. We were so excited walking there. It’s almost one hour walking to reach the destination.

Walking in Tokyo is very fun and the pedestrian sidewalk is very nice, clean and spacious.

To go to the Meiji Shrine, we passed a number of sidewalk sections, entered a number of aisles.

After arriving at the location of the city forest, we were already close to Meiji Shrine. Then we entered and walked in this vast forest.

We arrived at the crossroads, with a sign to Meiji Temple

Finally we arrived at the gate of Meiji Shrine.

Let’s look inside the complex of Meiji Shrine. Many tourists were already enjoying this historical place.

Meiji Emperor is the first of Japanese emperor in modern world. The Majesty was born in 1852 and become emperor in 1867.
