The Texas Sandfest 2020 is the weekend of April 17th this year in Port Aransas Texas. Artists from all over the world come to build sand castles or whatever this years theme will be, to try and take 1st place in their divisions. Last year the event raised $355,000 for local charities and scholarships. I like to go to check out the three day event, but this year's dates fall on the first weekend of Fiesta in San Antonio. Debbie will be retired by then so maybe we can make a road trip to the coast if the weather is nice. The event is rain or shine, but I don't think we would enjoy in much if it's raining. Some of the sculptures that I've seen before were amazing and it's hard to believe that these artists can work so hard on their projects and in the morning they are all gone. If we end up going this year I'll take a bunch of photos and share them in another Freewrite. Have a great weekend! 🙏
