Delayed
It is rude to be delayed and to arrive late and it is also rude to arrive early, unless you are an aeroplane.
A delayed flight is annoying but no one will hate you for it. When a plane finally lands or departs, people are happy. They welcome it and are relieved although there are some people who continue to grumble. Once it has left, there is nothing more to it.
When a flight arrives early, people are definitely happy. This is not the case with me. If I arrive too early, people are still busy and feel agitated, because it is not yet time and there is still so much to do. Arriving too late is not appreciated either. Everything must go exactly as planned in the host's timetable. If not, you are unwelcome.
Conclusion: a flight schedule is no more than a guideline and flights can come, go or be cancelled and people find that quite normal. What an aeroplane can afford, man cannot afford.
Moral: an aeroplane is a higher-ranking creature
