A Note- An Out-Of- The-Box Script (Test 2)
Tuesday prompt @freewritehouse
You find a hand-written note on your windshield that says, “Drive west for 100 miles.” (Reedsy)
SC-EXT.
The car, a burgundy red, sporty automobile is parked in front of a slaughterhouse. The sun is shining and the street is deserted. The sound from the slaughterhouse is clearly audible as if there were no walls. The wind is blowing and a piece of paper is stuck under the windshield wiper of the only car on the street. The sky is clouding over and it looks like it is going to rain.
C.
Harry is a man with the appearance of a middle-class person. He is over 35, a nitpicker, talks mainly to himself, and likes a clean living environment. He always has a handkerchief or wipes at hand as well as plastic bags, gloves, and tweezers. His hair is washed, combed, and neatly cut, he has a clean-shaven face and despite his tics, he radiates a charm that many cannot resist.
D.
Whaaaat, who has touched my car with his dirty fingers? Which scoundrel has stuck his waste under my windshield wiper? Society is going under because of lazy bastards who don't know the value of money.
A.
The owner looks around wildly and examines his beloved vehicle carefully. Inch by inch he examines it to see if it has any scratches or dents. He looks at the neon yellow post-it with horror and puts on a pair of medical gloves after which he pulls the note from under the windshield wiper with tweezers and deciphers the text.
CS
Closeup of the Post-it on which the message is written in hen-and-chickens script.
T
"Drive west for 100 miles" is what he deciphers
D.
Drive west? 100 miles? Why should I? I have better things to do than waste my time and money on an anonymous writer who can barely spell. Such terrible handwriting the average toddler writes better.
A.
Harry puts the note in a plastic bag which he zips shut and gets in the car after which he turns on the radio. His favourite song plays through the speakers and he sings along at the top of his lungs as he starts the car and drives towards his house he sings:
D.
How lucky I am to be a part of the world.....
T.
Harry feels great and he has long forgotten the note. Hearing and singing along with the song has improved his mood one hundred percent.
A.
The car engine makes a pleasant sound and because the road is not busy, Harry is home within 40 minutes. He is somewhat surprised to see that the gate is open and the lights are on in the house.
D.
Did the cleaning lady leave everything exposed? I am sure that I left everything neat and tidy.
A.
He calls the number of his domestic help Katrien but no one answers the phone.
T
Harry has an uneasy feeling. He cannot deny the feeling that something is wrong. His stomach turns as the thought flashes through his mind that Katrien is in danger and the note is a ruse.
A.
He decides to park his Corvette 5 miles away and walk to his house to see who broke into his house. After locking his car, he walks to his house with the phone in his hand. When he stands in front of his house and sees that all the windows and doors are open, he presses number 9 without saying a word, under which the emergency number is stored.

I take one and try to make it more visible imagination:
The car, a burgundy red Maserati GranTurismo GT is parked in front of a slaughterhouse. The afternoon (or) sun is shining and scorching, and the street is deserted. The sound from the slaughterhouse is clearly audible as if there were no walls. The wind is blowing dust on the street and a piece of dirty paper is stuck under the windshield wiper of the only car on the street. The heavy cloud hanging in the sky looks like it is going to rain.
What I understand about the script is only a little; describes things visible and must be clear to be imagined in detail.
I am really not a scriptwriter, not at all....I don't know where to start. I once was asked by a movie maker friend to help him out, but I could not do anything about it.
The good news is only @grebmot did so far no one else. We all struggle around and if I see a script it's a hard, frequently boring read but I think it's good to learn how to describe something. I am not good at that. So far I wrote three. It's getting easier but I believe number 2 I s the most readable with a little bit of script instructions left.
Start
3 action
4 dialogue
I believe these are the 4 used most and you can mix them. So after today I think the best thing is to just write a story and next search for those different parts.
Thank you, friend!
